Carson let out a sigh unconsciously. He rubbed his aching shoulder and signalled Chet. The two of them then walked out one after the other, leaving a quiet space for him.

Closing his eyes, Frederick's heart shattered into pieces. He wanted to cry but had no tears. Like a dead body, he fell completely silent.

The commotion in the hospital finally ended. Every day, Frederick would be on IV while staring at photos of her boarding the plane from those video screenshots. How he wished that he did not find her, and that she had not boarded the plane that day.

Every time he scrolled through his cell phone, he felt like he was in a dream, dazed. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't believe that his Ally was no longer there. Just like the last time, he couldn't even find her body.

Holding the phone, Frederick choked with sobs. That time, would she be as lucky as she was the last time? Would she survive?
