Moira felt awkward for a few seconds before she nodded. "That's right. He's a friend that I grew up with."

"Then your relationship is really good!" The little fellow still didn't understand the complicated feelings between adults.

"It used to be, but something happened and my feelings for him faded." Moira seriously answered her son's question.

"What happened?" Lucas continued to ask.

Moira hesitated for a moment before the man opposite her suddenly opened his mouth and said, "Five years ago, you annulled the engagement. Is that related to me?"

Moira's actions of reaching out to pick up the dishes froze in an instant. Her heart was surging with emotions. He actually knew about the matter of her annulling the marriage five years ago? Had he investigated her past life?

"It has nothing to do with you." Moira calmly replied. In reality, it was because of his behavior that caused her to finish her vacation early and return home. Afterwards, she bumped into Morgan and Molly who were sleeping together.

Sage stared at her with cold eyes. He knew that this matter had something to do with him, but this woman would never admit to it.

However, neither of them would talk to Lucas about the incident back then. Moira lowered her head and ate her dull meal.

The little guy looked from Daddy to Mommy, and then he asked, "Mommy, have you ever been married to anyone before?"

"No!" Moira shook her head.

"The uncle upstairs seems to like you a lot." The little guy said with some resentment.

Moira didn't expect her son to see through her at all. She pursed her lips and smiled. "Eat your food."

"Mommy, you are not allowed to marry a man other than father!" The little guy suddenly let out a domineering order.

Moira almost spat out rice. Where did this little guy get this idea from? This meant that she would only be able to marry this man for the rest of her life? She didn't want it.

"Didn't Mommy tell you? I will never marry in my life." Moira stared at her son as she spoke.

After she finished speaking, she glared disdainfully at Sage before continuing to eat.

Feeling this woman's disdainful gaze, Sage furrowed his sharp sword-like eyebrows. "What? You think I'm not worthy of you?"

Moira didn't expect him to reply her. She lifted her head and snorted. "It's that I can't compare to you, okay!?"

"At least you know your own limits." The corners of Sage's lips curled up in a mocking smile.

Moira bit her lips and said to her son, who was hard at eating, "Lucas, you heard it. Mommy won't marry your father, and he doesn't like me either. So, you don't have to waste your efforts to get us to marry together anymore."

The smile on Sage's face immediately vanished. He stared at the woman in front of him. Did he say he didn't like her? However, it was clear from her words that she still despised him.

"Oh! Fine!" The little fellow pursed its thin lips, and a clear sense of loss flashed in its big eyes.

Moira ate first. She took two tickets from her bag and handed them to the man. "I heard that you're willing to take Lucas to a concert. Here's your tickets, here you are."

Sage glanced at the tickets in her hands. "No need."

"Then... Are you not planning to bring Lucas along?" Moira was somewhat disappointed. She still wanted to let her son see her elegant demeanor on the stage!

"I have a better ticket source." After he finished speaking, Sage left in large strides.

Moira was slightly stunned. It seemed like he was planning on buying a ticket to enter the arena. That was fine too. But if she could give back her two tickets to Lorelei and have her give them to someone else.
