“Louis, it’s not easy for us, the Smith family, to rise from the ashes, so I hope you can consider the big picture,” Old Mr. Smith said. “The Cruise family is a warning to us, and we should choose carefully. I believe you know what to do.” 

He knew how proud and conceited a person Louis was. 

But compared to the Smith family’s future, Louis had to swallow his pride. 

If Rachel was really related to the Johnson family, they had to protect the Smith family at any cost.

Hearing this, Mrs. Smith’s pupils dilated. She froze on the spot as if she had been struck by lightning. 

Even though Louis was angry, he had no choice but to compromise in front of his mother. He took a deep breath and said expressionlessly, “I’ll think of a way to resolve this matter. If you really want to help, keep an eye on Jane!” 

Mrs. Smith watched as Louis left. Her eyes were filled with panic and complicated emotions.

“Could the person in the photo really be Ms. Grey?”

As soon as she said this, it immediately made the other two companions beside her laugh. 

Before she could finish speaking, she heard the door of the cubicle behind her being kicked open. 

Linda’s face seemed to be covered with a layer of ice. Her cold and sharp gaze swept over the three women who were standing in front of the sink and discussing animatedly. “Do you dare to repeat what you just said?” 

The few of them looked at each other, as if they were saying, “Why is there another person here?”

“M–Ms. Galler!” One of the women in a pink dress smiled awkwardly. “Why are you here?” 

The restroom on the top floor was under maintenance, so Linda ran downstairs to use the restroom.
