Jennifer wasn't naive.

She knew Daniel wanted nothing to do with her, so she dialed Charlene instead of calling him directly.

"Jennifer? What's wrong?"

Charlene casually picked up the call after applying a face mask.

"Charlene, come pick me up. I'm at the Inferno Bar."

Jennifer wasn't pretending. She was a little drunk.

"What?"

Charlene gasped. "I'm on my way! What the hell are you doing in a place like that?"

She hurriedly threw on some clothes, muttering a complaint under her breath.

Just as she stepped into the living room, she ran into Daniel.

She hesitated for a moment.

Still, she decided to go alone.

Given Daniel's temperament, if he went, Jennifer might not like the consequences.

"What's the matter?" he asked, lifting his head.

Charlene hesitated again.

"It's about Jennifer, isn't it?"

Daniel's gaze flickered to her, sharp and knowing.

Charlene nodded. "Yeah. She drank too much. I was about to go pick her up at the Inferno Bar."

Daniel stood. "Forget it. I'll go. It's late."

His initiative caught her off guard.

He walked up and lightly ruffled her hair. "Relax. I wouldn't just stand by and watch her get taken advantage of. I'm still her husband after all.

"She may not care about her dignity, but I still have mine."

Charlene wrinkled her nose. "And yet, here you are, flirting with me.

"Whatever, just go. And be careful."

Daniel waved her off.

But as he stepped out of the villa, a playful glint flickered in his eyes.

Jennifer had been rambling for days about how she thought he had been possessed.

And now, she was drinking herself unconscious at a bar.

How convenient.

She must’ve already set everything up!

Daniel didn't mind playing along.

Sliding into his car, he headed straight for Inferno Bar.

The moment Daniel pushed open the doors, the thunderous music assaulted his ears.

He frowned slightly.

The bar was in full swing.

Dozens of men and women swayed wildly on the dance floor, losing themselves in the night.

But Graham Aubrey raised a hand, signaling them to stand down.

He wiped the alcohol from his face and sneered.

"Relax, boys. You're gonna scare the lady."

Then, grinning, he leaned in close.

"Miss, I should've mentioned something earlier. This bar belongs to me.

"In here, I can do anything I want. Even if I fuck you right here and now, no one would dare say a word."

With that, he suddenly lurched toward her.

Jennifer's heart skipped a beat.

Instinctively, she swung her hand toward his face.

"Get lost! I'm not scared of you!"

She wasn't afraid of Graham's threat. After all, she knew Mr. Grayson wasn't far and Daniel was on his way.

It's just that her body was a little out of control after drinking too much.

But he caught her wrist.

"I love ladies like you. The more you resist, the more it excites me!"

Then, he lunged at her.

Jennifer, realizing the danger, opened her mouth to scream.

But his hand clamped over her lips.
