Albert's forehead was instantly covered with a fine layer of sweat.

"What… What kind of monster are you?"

"Doesn't feel great being used as a pawn, does it?" Daniel said with a scoff.

These guys had clearly been manipulated into stirring up trouble–unlike Rowan, who was just an idiot and an ordinary person, so Daniel hadn't bothered with him.

But Albert was a different story. These martial artists had been goaded into ambushing Daniel with the intent to kill, they had brought it upon themselves.

"What nonsense are you spouting?" Albert's expression changed drastically.

He suddenly raised his hand and threw a cloud of mist into the air. The mist spread rapidly, clearly laced with potent poison.

Daniel flicked his fingers, and a burst of energy shot through Albert's back.

Albert looked down in disbelief before collapsing to the ground.

Daniel simply returned to the car. Charlene, however, was staring at him in shock.

"What's wrong?" Daniel thought she might have been frightened, but Charlene held up her phone.

"You… You just cut off the finger of the second son of the Crane family!"

"Who?" Daniel glanced at the information Charlene showed him.

Well, well—wasn't this ugly guy the same overbearing wealthy-looking middle-aged man from earlier?

"Is this guy famous or something?" Daniel asked, puzzled.

"Of course he's famous! The Crane family is a well-known hidden clan. They practically control the entire banking industry of Qranross behind the scenes! The Keaton family is just the surface-level richest family," Charlene explained.

Daniel merely let out an "oh" and didn't say anything more.

"This is no fun," Daniel said with a sigh. He flicked his fingers again, and a burst of energy pierced the figure's skull.

The figure slumped to the ground—it was none other than Theodore Lockwood, the man who had tried to stop Daniel from making a move earlier.

Daniel didn't stay any longer. He returned to the car and headed back to Qranross with Charlene.

Isaac wisely didn't ask what Daniel had been doing. He knew better than to involve himself in matters beyond his understanding.

"Mr. Hayes, this trip to the Immortal Assembly has been quite an eye-opener for me. Please, take this pill as a token of thanks," Daniel said, tossing the last Blood Energy Pill to Isaac.

Isaac caught it, his eyes widening. "This… This is a Blood Energy Pill! It's too expensive. I can't accept it!"

Daniel waved his hand dismissively. "Mr. Hayes, the shop over there was left by my mother. I might not have much time to take care of it, so I'll be relying on you in the future."

Daniel didn't care how much money the emerald store made, but keeping the shop running was important to him. As for the Blood Energy Pill, it was nothing more than a trivial item to him.
