"Let's go. If we get everything checked out, we can sign the contract right away," Daniel said as he got ready to get in the car.

The real estate agent accompanying them couldn't help but smile. "You two have great taste! This place may be a little remote, but the factory is in excellent shape. We can sign the contract right away!"

The agent seized the chance to secure the deal as it promised a generous commission.

But before they could leave, a convoy of luxury cars pulled into the area. Every car in the fleet was a Maybach with a total of seven to eight vehicles.

Yet only two people stepped out. One of them was none other than Jennifer, who'd dramatically run away from home.

Jennifer's eyes gleamed with a hint of pride when she spotted Daniel, though it was unclear what she was so smug about.

As for the other person, he had an unusually fair complexion and was impeccably dressed in a tailored suit. Plus, he had a pair of rare heterochromatic eyes.

"Zidane? Why is he here?" Charlene exclaimed in surprise upon recognizing the man.

"Oh? You know him?" Daniel asked. His expression was calm as he glanced at Zidane Wilcox. Though the latter was smiling, he could sense the provocation hidden in his gaze.

"Of course! He's practically a celebrity at our school. He's rich, handsome, and the dream guy of countless women!" Charlene giggled.

Daniel leaned in closer and whispered, "Including you?"

Daniel's sudden move made Jennier's breath hitch slightly. Being under the stares of so many people including Jennifer, Daniel's wife, only made the moment more thrilling.

"So, he's your husband? The Ashcroft family of Qranross used to be so high and mighty, but now…" Zidane shook his head.

He turned toward the middle-aged man standing respectfully beside him. "This place is quite nice, though it seems we've arrived a little late."

As Zidane remarked, his gaze shifted toward Daniel with obvious intent.

The middle-aged man, Konner Leach, had a flattering smile spread across his face and immediately responded, "No worries, Mr. Wilcox. If you like it, this place is yours."

Then, he turned to Daniel and Jennifer with a condescending expression. "You may leave now. This property has been rented to Mr. Wilcox."

Compared to Zidane's extravagant Maybach convoy, Daniel and Jennifer's cars looked downright modest. That made them easy targets for ridicule.

Jennifer frowned. "We were here first, and we'd decided on this place long before he did. Must you go so far as to snatch it from us?"
