Daniel shook his head. "That's impossible."

Wesley's eyes widened. "Well, looks like karma finally caught up with me. Back in the day, I was just like you. All of this was just karma coming full circle."

His expression turned cold as he continued, "Don't worry. If you can't do it, I'll take care of it for you."

Daniel's gaze sharpened. "Mr. Quinn, I call you that out of respect because there was a reason behind what happened with Amelia. But if you dare lay a hand on my people, I won't hold back."

Wesley clicked his tongue in amusement. "Quite the devoted lover, huh?"

Then, he raised his hand abruptly. "Alright! If you can last three moves against me, I'll stay out of it."

"Dragonflare!"

Wesley raised his hand and sent a golden orb flying straight toward Daniel.

It seemed like an ordinary move, but Daniel's expression shifted slightly. Now, he could confirm that this unpredictable old man in front of him was definitely an expert in the Energy Refining Phase.

Daniel brought his fingers together, sweeping his hand toward the incoming golden orb. Then, he redirected its momentum and effortlessly guided it away.

Wesley let out a hearty laugh before leaping backward, putting some distance between himself and Daniel.

Daniel made no move to go after him because he was Amelia's father, after all. Besides, Amelia had been dragged into the mess through no fault of her own, so he couldn't justify going all out against her father.
