Daniel didn't return to the villa but instead visited Conor.

"Mr. Fuentes, how are you feeling now?" He was still very grateful to Conor.

The first thing Conor said upon waking up was that Daniel should escape quickly. However, he kept telling him to run away with Jeniffer and have children. It seemed like he still didn't know what Jennifer had done.

It wasn't yet the time to settle accounts with Jennifer. Daniel was more concerned about why the Ashcroft family had been treated ruthlessly.

"Mr. Ashcroft, I'm fine now," Conor said, looking at Daniel with a look of satisfaction.

When chatting with Laila, he had learned about Daniel's situation. He had initially thought the Ashcroft family was done for. Still, he never expected Daniel to survive the danger by pretending to be foolish, and now, he possessed remarkable strength.

"Mr. Fuentes, what exactly is the genetic research project?" Daniel asked, furrowing his brows.

From the information he gathered, this project led to the destruction of the Ashcroft family. The people involved were Omari and Sunrise Isle, who supported him. They would have to pay a bloody price no matter who was behind this.

"This is the greatest discovery of Mr. Ashcroft. Years ago, we obtained a piece of extraterrestrial meteorite iron. But unlike other legends, it has a unique magnetic field, and the gene sequence changes under the influence of this magnetic field." Conor's eyes flashed with a gleam.

"We started the research and achieved some results because of this phenomenon. This is the key to controlling human genes, and with a little more refinement, we can rewrite genes!" His voice became slightly fervent as he spoke.

"Mr. Ashcroft, if the gene key is mastered, the most straightforward application would be to cure cancer and genetic diseases!

"But more than that, the gene key could allow ordinary people to gain the ability to cultivate. Becoming a grandmaster might not be as difficult as we think," Laila, afraid that Daniel might not understand, explained further.

Daniel hadn't expected that Cody had been researching something so terrifying.

"Alright!" Conor heard the determination in Daniel's voice and nodded firmly.

Daniel thought for a moment, then furrowed his brows again. "There's one more thing. Where are the research materials?"

Whether it was Omari or the people from Sunrise Isle, they had nearly turned the entire Ashcroft residence upside down, even going after anyone related to the family. But so far, they hadn't found any research materials.

Hearing Daniel's question, Conor froze for a moment. "Daniel... You... You really don't remember?"

"Huh?" The question took Daniel aback.

These five years, he had been in a daze, and although he had received the memories in his mind when he woke up, most of them were scenes of him being tormented by Jennifer.
