After sending Ethan off, Daniel went to the warehouse to organize the things that Selena had thrown away.

When he found Pamela's photo, a flash of killing intent passed through his eyes, but it quickly subsided.

"Mom, don't worry. I will avenge you. I will run the store properly, just like you set it up back then."

Daniel took Pamela's photo and brought it to the second floor of the emerald store.

In these years of being a simpleton, Daniel felt he owed the most to his parents. Now that he had regained his senses, he was at a loss. He couldn't care for his loved ones because they were no longer around.

Glancing around the store, he called Laila.

"Ms. Ballard, come to my mother's jewelry store," he said softly.

"Okay. I'll be right there." Laila didn't hesitate at all. After hanging up, she went straight to the emerald store.

"Ms. Ballard, do you still remember the store's decoration from back then? I want to restore it to the way it was," uttered Daniel as he looked at the store.

Although Laila was a senior executive at Ashcroft Group, she had a good relationship with Daniel's mother back then. They chatted at the store often, so she was very familiar with the store's layout and environment.

Laila nodded. "Okay, Mr. Ashcroft. I'll contact the renovation workers. Within a month, I'll restore the store to its original state."

"Thank you," said Daniel, handing Laila a bank card.

"This is the renovation fund. If it's not enough, call me. Don't decline this."

Laila took the bank card. "Got it, Mr. Ashcroft. Don't worry. I've got it covered."

Daniel nodded and drove off, heading back to Charlene's villa.

After a moment of thought, he called Charlene.

Charlene hurriedly answered when she saw it was Daniel's number. "Daniel?"

"Ms. Guthrie, who's that? He's so handsome!"

"Yes! Is he a model you just hired recently? He's literally my dream guy!"

Scarlet shot a glare at them. "Calm down. He's Ms. Geller's personal assistant. You'd better think twice before you start swooning."

Upon hearing that Daniel was personally hired by Charlene, everyone quickly dispersed. They dared not have any ulterior motives, but having such a handsome guy around every day wasn't a bad thing.

When Charlene saw Daniel, her eyes brightened. "Have you taken care of your business?"

"Yes." Daniel nodded, looking around the layout of the office.

Charlene hesitated for a moment. "Jennifer already knows that you've recovered. But she seems to have had some kind of a meltdown. Do you want to go check on her?"

"No," replied Daniel coldly.
