"Charlene?"

"Daniel?"

Daniel and Charlene were shocked at the same time.

On the hospital bed, Oscar was delighted to see them recognizing each other. He laughed heartily and said, "That's great! So you know my granddaughter, Dr. Ashcroft! Charlene, thank him quickly! If it weren't for him, I would have died today."

"Thank him? He can… cure diseases?" Charlene asked incredulously.

Seeing Daniel, she felt a mixture of embarrassment and anger and was frustrated beyond measure. After all, her virginity had just been taken by him.

When she thought about that moment, her face turned red with rage. She snapped at Oscar, "Grandpa, don't be fooled by him! He's not a miracle doctor! He's just a..."

Oscar immediately scolded her, "Charlene, how can you speak to my savior like that? From now on, Daniel is both your and my benefactor. He's a great benefactor to the Geller family!

"You must do whatever he asks of you! Understood? Now, go and have a meal with Mr. Ashcroft and repay his kindness!"

"Grandpa! I'm not eating with him!" Charlene said, annoyed.

Oscar glared at her. "Are you trying to kill me with anger? I'm telling you. From now on, you must stay close to Dr. Ashcroft and fulfill his wishes! If not, don't think of me as your grandfather!"

Hearing his words, the doctors around them immediately understood his intention. He wasn't thanking Daniel. He was pushing Charlene onto Daniel.

Daniel felt speechless. He couldn't refuse, so he turned and left.

Helpless, Charlene followed him angrily.

On the bed, Oscar looked at Daniel's and Charlene's figures leaving, his lips curling into a sly smile.

"Charlene, you'd better seize this opportunity! Daniel might just be the Energy Cultivator in the rumors!"

Daniel first returned to Conor's ward.

Conor had been in a vegetative state for three years, but he still had his wealth and connections.

"Mr. Fuentes, help me look into Omari's whereabouts," Daniel said.

Conor sighed and replied, "Alright. But Daniel, please be careful and don't act impulsively!"

Daniel nodded and left the hospital with Charlene.

With concern in his voice, Conor said, "Daniel, I've found Omari's whereabouts. In the past three years, he has been quite successful. He's now a well-known investment tycoon in Legate and a super big shot! His influence spans the whole state, so we really can't afford to offend him."

Daniel was even more enraged upon hearing that. He said coldly, "Mr. Fuentes, don't worry. I'll see for myself how he managed to reach such a position. Where is Omari now?"

Conor replied, "He's currently overseas, likely in Sunrise Isle. However, his son, Zak Dooly, is in Qranross. He frequents Sakuna Bar and is probably there right now."

"I understand. Mr. Fuentes, be careful yourself. If Omari finds out you're awake, he might try to harm you."

Daniel hung up the phone, stood up, and headed straight for Sakuna Bar. He was determined to find out why Omari wanted to wipe them out. What the hell was that bastard planning?

By 5:00 pm, Sakuna Bar was already packed with customers.

Daniel stood outside as he listened to the deafening music inside. There was a cold glint in his eyes.

"Daniel? You… You bastard! Are you following me?" a woman's voice sounded from his left.
