Chapter 62 novel Betrayed, But Not Defeated
Honestly, the explosive power of a grandmaster-level expert was nothing to Daniel. He was quick to trap Zachary's dagger with two fingers.
"Heh! I never knew you'd be this dumb!" Disdain flashed across Zachary's eyes. "Since you have a weakness, you should just die!"
"Die?" Zachary let out a cold chuckle. "You think you have the right to kill me?"
Those people had no idea what he was capable of.
A drop of black liquid was condensed from Daniel's fingertips. It was the poison that was amassed from Zachary's dagger.
Zachary could only watch as Daniel stopped Ned from exploding himself and flicked the poison in the latter's direction.
A loud smack reverberated throughout the room. Zachary clutched his neck tightly the next moment.
"You!" Zachary's eyes went wide. Never did he expect that he'd end up dying from his own poison.
But Daniel didn't even bother glancing at him.
"You must be extremely frightened, yes? I've already called the ambulance. For now, you should get everyone settled down," he said to Charlene.
"Huh? Okay!" Charlene was momentarily surprised, but she was quick to nod in response.
That was when she finally realized what was going on, resulting in her squirming out of Daniel's arms.
There were so many people staring at her! Not to mention, Oscar was smiling at her the whole time! It was really embarrassing for her!
Daniel soon approached Oscar. "Are you alright, Mr. Geller Senior?"
"These are nothing but scrapes!"
Having received treatment from Daniel, Oscar could feel most of his strength returning to him. Although he still looked like he had gone through hell, his injuries weren't as bad as they seemed.
"You mustn't take your condition lightly." Daniel shook his head as he started patting Oscar on the back gently.
Oscar's expression started changing. He began hacking as he breathed, as though something was lodged in his windpipe.
At that moment, Daniel rubbed his thumb along Oscar's nape down to his spine rapidly. As soon as his thumb stopped moving, he spun his palm around and raised his hand before slamming it against Oscar's back.
"Ugh!" Oscar spat out a mouthful of coagulated blood.
Her company was about to start its collaboration with Obsidian Group, and yet it was about to fork out a huge amount of money to cover the renovation expenses.
Daniel just smiled and shook his head. "Don't say that. The Keatons are a prominent bunch with deep pockets laced with gold, aren't they? There's no reason why they can't afford the compensation."
"Are you saying that you want the Keatons to compensate us for the damages?" Charlene widened her eyes in surprise.
"Who else is supposed to pay for all these?' Daniel responded with a question of his own while shrugging nonchalantly.
The Keatons were definitely related to Omari in a way. They had dispatched their people to Qranross multiple times, only for all of them to die in this foreign city.
Most importantly, two of William's sons had died in Qranross. Would the Keatons go crazy because of their demise?
This was the effect Daniel wanted. Based on this outcome, Zachary was more useful to him dead than alive. He'd like to see just how the Keatons would deal with this piece of bad news.
"Leave the company to me. I'll get someone to resolve the materials' issue. You don't have to worry."
After that, Daniel approached Zachary before plucking a phone out of his corpse.
