"Lucy, hurry up and check on your grandpa! I… I think he won't be able to make it!" the newcomer—a man—gasped out in between pants.

Luciana's expression changed instantly. She put down her things before bolting out of the store.

Daniel sidestepped immediately to let her pass. Then, he exited the store as well.

Luciana ran toward an elderly man, who could be seen lying on the sidewalk. But before she could get close to him, a group of men moved to block her way.

"Hey cutie, what's with the rush?"

"Don't worry. The old codger just slipped and fell. He'll be fine."

Luciana sounded like she was about to cry. "No! I still need to check on him! Please, I'm begging you! Let me pass!"

At that time, many residents who lived in the area came to check the situation out. They all sighed while wearing different looks of frustration at the sight.

"Mr. Taylor Senior is such a nice person! I can't believe there are people who still wish to bully and humiliate him!"

"Enough. Don't go around running your mouth now. All of us have received Mr. Taylor Senior's help at least once in our lives. Those brats won't be able to do jackshit."

The man who had just spoken—also the one who had informed Luciana about her grandfather's collapse—turned to look at the other residents.

But said residents averted their gazes immediately. None of them dared to look him in the eye.

The man spat at the sidewalk before rolling up his sleeves and approaching the group. The moment he got close, a bald guy stood up and slapped him in the face.

"You punk! Before you try to play the role of a knight in shining armor, why don't you take a good look at the boss of this turf? Floyd Calloway, even if you're not scared of us, don't forget that you still have your wife and kids to look after!"

The bald guy's threat made Floyd's expression change drastically.

Daniel happened to approach the bald guy as well. "Excuse me!"

"Are you fucking blind? Can't you see that I'm in the middle of something? Excuse your fucking self you son of a—" The bald guy began shouting at Daniel angrily.

Daniel placed the acupuncture kit on the ground before spreading it open. Then, he plucked a silver needle from the bunch and inserted it into an acupuncture point above Zephyr's upper lip.

But Daniel just cast her a look. "Don't you know that all acupuncture points can help save a life when triggered appropriately?"

"Huh?" Luciana widened her eyes. Should she… know about that?

Daniel shook his head in return before inserting another needle. "Your grandpa's blood flow is being clogged up right now. If I don't unclog it, his life will definitely be in danger. Excuse me, I need to move your grandpa back into the store."

Floyd wiped some blood off his nose before jogging toward Daniel.

"I'll help you carry him!"
