The news of the Shadowspire Syndicate's failure began to circulate in the black market.
However, the incident strangely didn't seem to cause much of a stir. In fact, the lack of reaction only made the atmosphere in Qranross grow increasingly odd.
Daniel paid little attention to the situation. Whatever they were planning, it would eventually reveal itself.
"Daniel, do you have time today?" Charlene suddenly asked during lunch.
"Of course! What's up?" Daniel responded.
Charlene rolled her eyes at him. "I can't believe you're still my assistant. The product's about to launch, and you're not even paying attention?"
"My bad!" Daniel quickly admitted his fault, then grinned. "What can I do for you, Ms. Geller? Just say the word!"
"You do remember your position, at least," Charlene said, her lips curling into a smile. "The packaging for the youth cream is done, and we've produced about 100 thousand sets so far. It's time to launch it!"
"How do you plan to launch it?" Daniel thought for a moment. "With the effects of the youth cream, 100 thousand sets won't be enough. Don't stop production."
"You're that confident?" Charlene asked, a bit surprised by Daniel's words.
Production costs money, after all. Charlene had poured her entire fortune, plus the compensation money from the Keaton family, into this venture. If it didn't turn a profit, she might truly be bankrupt.
However, Daniel was full of confidence. "Just trust me. It'll save you the trouble of scrambling later."
Charlene thought for a moment, then nodded. "Alright! I'll notify the factory to keep producing. But first, you'll need to take me to the bank. My cash flow is running low, and I need to see if I can get a loan to tide us over."
"Of course!" Daniel agreed. He was in a tight spot too. He didn't have money on hand, and he was waiting for the youth cream launch to bring in the funds.
After breakfast, Daniel took Charlene straight to Qranross Thriving Bank.
Charlene sensed something was off. But with Daniel there, she wasn't overly concerned. In fact, she was curious to see what Caleb was up to.
"This is the loan application from Geller Cosmetics. Please take a look, Mr. Lewis." Charlene handed him the papers.
Caleb glanced over them briefly before tossing them onto the desk. "As far as I know, Geller Cosmetics and Ashcroft Group have already started collaborating, so funds shouldn't be an issue. If you're applying for a loan, does this mean there are problems with Ashcroft Group's finances?"
"What do you mean by that, Mr. Lewis?" Charlene frowned, her voice sharp. "I'm applying for funds on behalf of Geller Cosmetics. This has nothing to do with Ashcroft Group."
Caleb's expression shifted suddenly, his smile widening. "Ms. Geller, please don't misunderstand. I've simply found a better solution for Geller Cosmetics's financial needs."
Before Charlene could respond, the door to Caleb's office creaked open, and a young man in a suit walked in.
It was none other than Frederick!
