Of the Internet stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is Betrothed To The Mafia Lord. The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Chapter 115. Let's read the author's Betrothed To The Mafia Lord Internet story right here.
Sofia’s POV
“Good afternoon, Mrs Ricci.” They both echoed out at the same time and I nodded my head once before finally starting to speak. “Hello Ethan, and Ryan.” I breathed out and stared into the slight gap between both of their shoulders, refusing to meet their eyes as I continued.
“Good afternoon, how have your been today?” I echoed out and watched as Ethan barely acted like he had heard what I had said, and Ryan had shrugged his right shoulder a little and that was it.
“Anyways, I wanted to ask you guys if Luca left me a message with you guys.” I said to them and finally dragged my eyes upwards and settled my eyes on both of them at the same time, refusing to dwell too much on Ryan’s face because it felt like he and I shared a certain secret which no one else knew about and the thought alone was making me feel so type of way, which was why I was completely avoiding to stare into his face as much as I can.
“Oh, a message?” Ethan breathed out and I nodded my head once, with my hands still clasped around the middle of my body, and I watched as he turned his head around to stare at Ryan for a fleeting second before turning back around to stare down at me.
“About that,” Ethan started to say and lifted his right hand and began to rub the back of his neck as he continued. “Yes ma’am, Mr Ricci did leave you a message with us.” He finally replied, a bashed look coming to cover his face all of a sudden, and I had no idea as to why he was appearing like he had suddenly gotten scolded.
“We are so sorry to not have come to you to inform you about what Mr Ricci had said, we had gotten carried away in what we were doing outside and had completely forgotten about it until Matilda had come to inform us that you were in need of our presence.” Ethan continued and I stared up into his face as soon as he was done speaking, noticing that he didn’t look emotionless and blank faced like he usually does, instead he looked almost frightened and really worried, at least that was the kind of emotion that was able to identify what was currently on his face.
“Oh, it’s fine.” I started to say and watched as he shook his head before continuing immediately. “It isn’t, and I’d take full responsibility for not remembering to deliver the message to you, because the message was directly delivered to me, and not Ryan.” He said and nodded his head at Ryan at the end of his sentence and I blinked up at him, not understanding where all these were coming from.
“Nothing’s going to happen, Ethan.” I finally said as soon as he was going to say and I watched as he only kept staring at me without saying a thing, and then I decided to continue immediately. “Everybody makes mistakes, what happened was obviously a mistake, you wouldn’t not want tthis not deliver the message left with you, to me on purpose.” I said to him while still staring up at him, my fingers starting to absentmindedly tap against my exposed waist.
“You won’t tell Mr Ricci about it?” I heard him say it in a really small voice, and it seemed like it was the smallest voice I’ve ever heard him used.
I nodded my head firmly, starting to wonder if Luca punishes them really thoroughly, for him to get that kind of facial expression over his face some minutes ago.
“Yeah, I won’t tell him about this. It wasn’t your fault and you didn’t do it on purpose, remember?” I said to him and watched as he hesitated before nodding his head at me, a relieved facial expression crossing his face almost immediately, and I also didn’t miss the small breath that slipped out his lips.
