Luca’s POV

“Thank you, Sarah.” Armani said to Sarah with a warm smile playing across his lips as soon as Sarah set his plate before him, a few moments ago. Sarah smoke back at him instantly and whispered something to him and after caffe more seconds, she was heading out of the dining room and closing the door behind her. Sofia was sitting at my right hand side and Armani was sitting directly before her, at the other side of the table, the exact spot where James had sat in, some days ago when he had come over to do something with me and had decided to stay back for dinner.

We all started to eat after a few moments and my eyes kept straying back to Sofia every few minutes, but nothing seemed to be off around her, she seemed to be doing just fine and she was also eating her food just fine. There wasn’t a lot of conversation going around the three of us who were currently sitting around the table, which was pretty fine by me.

The quiet was also very good, it made more room in my head for me to be able to cradle my thoughts against my insides without it being disrupted by something someone might be saying to me or around me assuming a conversation was currently flying around.

“Have you registered your new number yet?” I asked Armani after a few seconds and I watched as he shrugged his shoulders and started to shake his head at me almost immediately, right before he started to speak.

“No, not yet. I think I’ll stay up a little to be able to do that tonight.”

“Hm.” I hummed a little as I nodded my head once, and I glanced back at Sofia after a few seconds. It didn’t matter that all she was doing was atering pointedly at her food and slowly inserting each spoon of food into her mouth. I still found what she was currently doing so damn mesmerizing that I just couldn’t help but keep looking at her every few minutes.

“Do you have any friends that know you’re coming over to Italy today?” I asked as soon as I had averted my face from Sofia’s face to settle it on Armani’s.

I watched as Armani shrugged his shoulders a little, right before he started to speak.

“Well, not really.” He finally responded.

“No one?” I asked after a couple of moments, narrowing my eyes at him a little. He nodded his head after a few moments, still staring pointedly at his food.

“Yeah, no one.” He finally echoed out.

“Ok, that’s good then.” I breathed out after a couple of moments.

“We’ll talk a lot more about more of this tomorrow. Alright?” I said to him after a couple of moments had passed and I watched as Armani started to nod his head in the next moment, as he moved a little in his seat.

“Yeah, alright.”

“Did you come with anything?” I asked him after some time as I inserted a forkful of food into my mouth and chewed on the softness of the food really slowly, trying to savor the food really well.

“No, I didn’t. You asked me not to, remember?” Armani started to speak after some time and I breathed out a deep breath and returned my fork back to my plate.

“Oh yeah, I really did.” I finally started to speak, nodding my head a little right before I continued.

“I’ll have to find you stuff in which you can sleep in, and what you can dress in tomorrow. You’d have to go shopping for some things tomorrow or the day after.” I paused and dragged a deep breath into my lungs.

“Are you alright?” Armani was the one to speak to this time, and I noticed that there was a little bit of worry painted out on his face.

Sofia started to nod her head in response in the next moment as she moved around in her seat a little, right before she started to speak. “Yeah, I am.”

And after a few moments had passed, Sofia decided to add a quiet ‘thank you’ to him, and he reassured her about it being nothing.

We were all finally done eating after a while, and I noticed that we had all been unable to eat all the content on our plates, well, except Armani. He cleared off his plate completely and was currently leaning back against the backrest of his seat, as he dragged a deep breath into his longs every few seconds.

“Oh my, I’ve missed this so much.” Armani was the one go break the silence with those few words or his and I felt myself twisting my lips around the corners of my mouth a little, as I flickered my gaze sideways until I was staring at him.

“Miss what? The food?” I asked him after a couple of moments.

“Damn right, yeah. I’ve missed it so much. I had no idea I had missed it this much until tonight.” Armani started to speak almost immediately, and he paused for a bit before continuing.

“You know, because it’s been really long since I had this, it kind of completely skipped my brain. But it’s sooooo good,” He trailed off and stared down at his empty plate for a moment before flicking his gaze back to my face, and then he continued. “Sarah is such a good cook.” He finally concluded.

“Sarah didn’t make that though, it’s all Matilda.” Sofia supplied a fleeting moment later and my head and Armani’s all turned around to stare at her at the same time.
