Of the Kuroitsuki stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is [BL] Accidentally Becoming the Healer of the Deranged Archduke. The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Chapter 108: So Close Until I can feel You Against My Lips.. Let's read the author's [BL] Accidentally Becoming the Healer of the Deranged Archduke Kuroitsuki story right here.
Normally, exhaustion from long hours in the lab would pull Xion into a deep, dreamless sleep.
However, tonight, he could not seem to find the familiar feeling of floating.
The muffled sounds from downstairs were easy enough to ignore at first.
He pressed a pillow over his ears, trying to drown out the noise. Yet the distant murmurs soon turned into loud, drunken jeers.
Xion frowned.
"Are they having a party or something?" He mumbled while scratching his already tousled hair. "They could have invited me, at least. It was not like I was going to really come."
His gaze drifted to the window where the rain was just as mercilessly falling.
He suddenly missed his mobile phone. At least, he would have online games to pass the time.
With a quiet sigh, he swung his legs over the bed. His bare feet fell on the ground as he walked toward the door. He hesitated for a moment before slowly cracking it open, just a tiny slit.
He peered around the dark hallway. There was not a soul in sight. Just as he was sneakily glancing around, a murky gray eye appeared right in front of him.
With a heavy hand, he shut the door and instinctively took a few steps back.
The knock on the door forced his whole body to tremble.
Knock.
Knock! Knock!
The knocks grew heavier, urgent, as if the person outside could not wait any longer.
"Young Lord? It’s me."
A muffled voice seeped through the door, accompanied by a familiar fit of coughs.
Xion nearly collapsed in relief. He patted his chest, trying to steady his racing heart.
"Calm down, you idiot. It’s just the butler," he muttered to himself.
Pulling on his gray robe, he hesitated.
Why was the butler in such a hurry? And at this hour?
Knock! Knock! Knock!
The urgency in the knocks could not be ignored anymore. Hence, Xion could only bite the bullet and slowly open the door.
"You need to run away! Right now!"
The old man’s grip on his shoulders was so tight that Xion winced. But the pain was nothing compared to the shock of his words.
His barely steady heart lurched back into his throat. "Calm down. Tell me what happened first."
The butler gasped for breath, his frail body trembling. It was clear he had rushed here with all the strength he had left.
"Siena had invited him! They were waiting for you to be alone. I did not let them in but she did!"
Xion had already slipped on his shoes, hurriedly tying the laces. "Who?"
No one replied. As he stood up, his eyes widened.
There at the door stood Klein Nocturne, dressed in casual clothes. His one hand was resting upon the shoulders of a hunched-up butler.
Never. Never in his entire life had he imagined he would end up pinned against a wall while some arrogant fool whispered such disgusting lines at him.
