Broken And Pregnant novel Chapter 74

I almost forgot that my brother Kent and Eloisa invited us for dinner. I sat beside her but she twitched when my hands touch her arms. She looks scared and reserved. It's noticeable on her shivering hands while holding the glass of wine. 

"Kent just called. They invited us to attend the dinner. Dress up and I'll wait here." I said. 

"Are you ready to face them again? You know the deal, right? You can tell me if you ain't come and I will call them to---", I didn't even finish my phrases when Lucy replied. 

" Don't worry, I can handle my feelings but to see Austin calling Eloisa as his mommy, my heart aches!", Her voice rumbled. 

I took her near me and began to comfort her. I caress her hair with my palm. I feel sorry for her that I want to pamper her. 

"Just cried. I'm right here to protect you!", I whispered near her ears.

Lucy knows already what Gale is planning to do about her. She lost interest in helping him anymore. She changes their plan. She will find a way to find the culprit who shoots her in Tagaytay first. She will also find evidence to make sure that Eloisa and Gale are seeing each other. Although she had no proof yet, time will come she will tell Kent how his wife was doing behind his back. 

She just hugs Gale to make him believe that she's hurt and she only believes him not anyone else.

Gale and Greta just arrived at the Stone Residence and as Greta get off the car, Austin ran towards her and hug her tightly.

" I miss you, aunt Greta!", he said after wrapping his little hands to her legs. 

Eloisa noticed how close Austin to her. She started to get suspicious about Greta's hidden identity. 

"I will go to skin you soon, Greta Stone!", Eloisa told herself while looking at them.  

Gale and Lucy are now on their way to Kent and Eloisa's mansion when Gale received an urgent dinner invitation from the couple. Gale's eyes were preoccupied on the roadway while Lucy's eyes were enjoying the scenery outside the car. It's the first time that they were very quiet together. You can feel the tension between their heavy breathing and gaze ignoring.

" Hello, Kent, sorry for the wait," Gale said while holding Greta's hands. 

He saw how Kent looks at it and crave it. He intended to act sweet at his wife to make him jealous. He wanted to make him feel how it hurts to take someone's property. 

"It's okay. Let's get inside. Eloisa and Austin are waiting and the food might get cold!", he invited them inside. 

Lucy secretly winks at Kent when he looked back at her. She giggled when she saw how Kent's face turned red. It's part of her plan to make Eloisa jealous later. 

As they came inside, Eloisa and Austin are now sitting at the table. She seems irritated the way she glared at the plate but when she saw Gale coming at the dinner table, her eyes suddenly glints like fireworks. 

" Oh, Gale, Greta, I'm glad you came!", she said making her way to have a cheeks-to cheeks greetings at them. 

Lucy just studied their body gestures and she knows how Eloisa looks excited when she saw Gale. Gale, on the other hand, looks happy too. She shifted her gaze at poor Kent at the wine area who was busy getting two bottles of wine. He had no idea that his wife was meeting her husband secretly.
