Ella had more than just Robert–she also had an older son. This older son was Elaine’s uncle, George 

Elaine had never met George, not even before her time travel. The only things she knew about him were vague stories from Tracy. 

George was a man who had made a fortune in the stock market years ago. He’d accumulated a lot of wealth, and later, capitalred on real estate and trade to earn even more. He’d built a financial empire that most could only dream of 

But George and the Yeats family had a terrible relationship 

Years ago, when Ella showed clear favoritism toward Robert, she made life miserable for George and his wife. Especially his wife, whom Ella couldn’t stand. This led to endless family quarrels 

Finally, one day, things boiled over. George, along with his wife and young children, bowed before Ella and left the Years Mansion for good. They never canse back. 

They moved to Lento City, starting fresh there. 

George had cut ties with the family, and with no way to mend things. Ella stayed in Boynton with Robert, continuing their business for years. 

Ella despised George, and for all these years, she never mentioned him–almost pretending like he didn’t exist. 

The Yeats family slowly forgot about him. 

Ella was indeed an incredibly strong–willed woman, so much so that she was unapologetically harsh even toward her sons. However, her extreme favoritism toward her second son, Robert, only made things worse, leading to a tense and strained relationship between the brothers and their 

The house was often filled with arguments, with the tension between the brothers and their wives causing constant family disputes. 

Not only did Ella fall to treat her children equally, but during the times when George and Robert had disagreements, the blatantly took Robert’s side, going out of her way to help him target George

Flaine couldn’t help but feel heartbroken for her grandfather, who had married a woman as domineering and unreasonable as Ella. The entire family had been torn apart by her influence.

Elaine frowned. “Are you sure this person is my uncle, George!” 

She thought. Why would his family be looking into me! It doesn’t seem like they have any connection to me 

Kingsley nodded. “Your uncle George and his wife have done well in Lento City. Their sons are all successful in various fields. Now that he’s looking for you. I’m not sure what his intentions are. 

“I know he’s investigating you, but it’s been done privately. If he doesn’t make his intentions clear. I’ll act like I don’t know anything for now.” 

Elaine nodded. “Alright, we’ll hold off for now,” 

“Good” 

Kingsley looked at Elaine, her bright presence once again making him smile. He intertwined his fingers with hers. 

“When the time is right, we’ll leave Boynton and this place that’s caused you so much pain, alright? 

“Alright” 

Their lips met again, soft and full of sweetness. Elaine’s eyelashes fluttered deepening the kiss. Their foreheads rested against each other, their breaths mingling, and the moment grew more intense. 

Elaine felt that, at this moment, Kingsley had truly grown to understand her. 

Such peaceful days–just the two of them–were perfect. What more could she ask for! 

Harper’s first task after returning to the country was to cancel all his appointments

Harper was known for his high standards and excellence. Though Bianca wanted to network with him, he never really paid much attention to her. His feedback on her designs was only ever “passable.” 

The other designers who didn’t even meet his standards had likely been reduced to tears by his sharp words. 

In Bianca’s mind, his lukewarm comment of “passable” was probably the best compliment she could ever get from him. 

Her connection to Harper was somewhat based on the fact that she had once treated his grandfather. Had it been any other designer, they probably wouldn’t have had a chance. 

Jepson, frustrated by their failed meeting, couldn’t help but complain, “What’s so special about this guy? Isn’t he a bit too arrogant! We’ve got Ada, a genius doctor, and me, a manager of a company–three of us together, and he doesn’t even want to see us?” 

Bianca spoke softly, “Harper’s temperament is like that, but he’s also incredibly capable. Since we need him to do something for us, we should lower our expectations 

Harlan nodded. “Luckily, Grandma gave us another option. We can start with his grandfather. For now, let’s head back. We’ve already delivered the gift. 

Jepson agreed, and the three of them handed the prepared gift to Harper’s butler before returning home.
