"Nathan, I want to go home," Victoria said after hanging up the phone, immediately finding Nathan and asking him to take her home.

Nathan sat on the recliner on the balcony, lazily scrolling through his phone. "Why go back? Don't you know I've been really busy lately? My mom needs me a lot right now."

Victoria walked up to Thea, almost kneeling on the ground, resting her head on his lap. She knew how to play the weak and coquettish role. "Nathan, Thea has returned to the Moore family. I have to go back and check on her. I always feel like something is not right with this trip back home."

Nathan's hand holding the phone stiffened, and the coldness in his eyes seemed to thaw a little. "Since you're so worried about her, then go back."

Victoria gently kissed him on the face and said, "Thank you, husband."

Nathan felt his face was damp. He raised his hand and wiped away the saliva left by Victoria. He furrowed his brows slightly.

Victoria turned around and saw his action, her whole body seemed to be imprisoned by a spell, her face turning pale and then green.

When did Nathan's affection towards her start to be so repulsive?

Victoria packed her luggage absentmindedly, stuffing a few clothes into the suitcase haphazardly, and then she pulled Nathan into the car.

Not long after, Victoria and Nathan showed up at the Moore family's mansion.

Thea stood on the balcony of the second floor, sipping her coffee gracefully. Her gaze peacefully looked towards the entrance of the villa.

Victoria got out of the car and looked up to see Thea. Their eyes met, and Victoria was filled with panic and unease, but Thea just gave her a casual smile.

"Sister, welcome home," Thea greeted her warmly.

Nathan looked at Thea belatedly and noticed a slight change in his facial expression when he saw the pajamas she was wearing.

Thea wore the pajamas that he had bought for her as an emergency outfit during their marriage. She used to wear it frequently back then.

Nathan's face instantly split open a chasm.

Thea's intention to go home was ultimately unusual.

Thea waved her hand at Nathan and sweetly smiled, saying, "Brother-in-law."

Nathan, however, felt extremely uneasy.

Victoria glared fiercely at Thea and said, "Thea, what did you want to do?"

Thea said, "As for me, I naturally went home to retrieve my belongings."

"This house doesn't have anything that belongs to you. I am my father's only daughter," Victoria said angrily.

Thea extended her finger and covered her mouth, gesturing for Victoria to be quiet.

Her every move was elegant and noble. "Victoria, think carefully, is there really nothing in this house that belongs to me?"

"Of course not..." Victoria blurted out.

Nathan's face turned paler and paler, and he told Victoria, "What she said is probably about the kidneys inside you."

Victoria screamed in surprise.

Doesn't that mean Thea would have gotten her kidney back?

She broke out in a cold sweat.

Nathan's towering figure trembled almost imperceptibly. "She was just an embryo, Thea," he tried to alleviate his guilt.

Thea's blood flowed backwards because of this sentence.

"What if she didn't die in the womb? What if I gave birth to her? Do you think she would have been a healthy child?"

Nathan said, "When you were pregnant with her, you took too much medication, and the side effects were too severe. So, it was a wise decision for you to have an abortion."

Thea was furious. She walked up to Nathan and raised her hand, then slapped him hard across the face. "You caused this disaster, making me the executioner to personally kill our child. Nathan, have you ever thought about what would have happened if I hadn't aborted her?"

Nathan could imagine that such a child was undoubtedly born with a weak constitution. Even if they were born, it would be difficult to raise them.

"That assumption is not valid, Thea," he was unwilling to imagine the pain of his daughter growing up.

Thea slapped him again and said, "Using our daughter's life to sacrifice for your ridiculous and pathetic love. Nathan, you should have fallen into a state of being abandoned by everyone."
