Can’t Win Me Back Chapter 23
After speaking, Isabella turned to leave.

Nathan suddenly stepped forward, his iron–like grip seizing her wrist tightly. The pain forced a sharp inhale from Isabella.

“Isabella, where are you going? You have to come home with me,” Nathan demanded.

Isabella’s cold gaze fell on his hand.

Nathan had never cared for her, not even knowing that her delicate skin would bruise and bleed with just a little pressure.

Under her resentful stare, Nathan realized he had used too much force and let go of her wrist.

“Sorry, I lost control,” he said, his demeanor returning to its usual poised elegance.

Isabella rubbed her sore wrist, her face expressionless as she looked at him. “Nathan, just let me go.”

A flicker of pain appeared in Nathan’s eyes. Once, Isabella’s gaze had burned with passion when she looked at him; now, it was filled with estrangement.

Where had things gone wrong?

Nathan spoke with an air of dominance that brooked no argument. “Isabella, you’re my wife. How can I not care about you?”

Isabella laughed bitterly.

“So the great Young Master Hill suddenly finds it amusing to bother me. Don’t tell me you’re bored of… her?” Her eyes unabashedly landed on Victoria.

Victoria froze, her blood running cold at those words.

“Nathan…”

Her frail voice trembled, laced with sorrow and despair.

Nathan turned to see Victoria, her tear–streaked face resembling a wilting flower, as if she could wither away at any moment. Her mournful gaze pierced through him.

A flash of panic crossed Nathan’s eyes, as though stung by à wasp. He let go of Isabella and quickly walked over to Victoria.

“Victoria,” he called out softly.

Tears brimming, Victoria looked at Isabella and pleaded bitterly. “Bella, I’ve already endured the pain of giving Nathan up to you. Why do you still insist on holding grudges? Must you cruelly strip me of even the small hope of being ordinary friends with him?”

“Bella, you’re my little Sis. Why are you so heartless? Do you want me to be lonely for the rest of my life? If you hate me this much, just end me now. That way, I won’t have to keep suffering…”

Isabella stared at Victoria, utterly speechless.

As long as Victoria shed a few tears, Isabella would get scolded -by her husband, by her father, by her mother.

Overcome with emotion, Victoria began struggling to breathe.

Isabella rolled her eyes, utterly fed up. “Are you two sure you aren’t putting on this show for the wrong person?”
