Nathan used his immense influence to swiftly shut down Isabella’s social media accounts, blocking her in an instant.

But the next day, Isabella quickly opened a new account. This time, she didn’t just expose the kidney donation report for Victoria, but also briefly outlined the backstory:

“When I was young and naive, I thought a man’s promises were as unshakable as a rock. Little did I know, I lost my kidney, and the love was gone. No, to be honest, love never existed in the first place. I was too young to know better.”

But just as he was coming to terms with this, Alaric unexpectedly visited Nathan’s home. He sat down on the sofa, angrily pointing his finger. "Nathan, your wife is out there ruining your reputation. Are you just going to let her have her way?"

Nathan opened his mouth to speak but didn’t know how to explain.

He couldn’t tell Alaric that it was he who had pushed Isabella, the woman who had once loved him with all her heart, to this point.

Finally, he chose to deflect, saying, "She’s just using these methods to force me into a divorce. Dad, I... I want a divorce."

Alaric was furious. "A divorce? When you took Isabella’s kidney, I warned you. You’ll never be able to repay her for what you owe her in this life. Now you want to divorce her? Are you trying to prove you’re heartless and ungrateful?"

Nathan, unable to wipe the blood from his face, bowed his head, accepting his reprimand.

"Father, I know I was wrong," he said.

Seeing his son’s remorseful attitude, Alaric, though furious, couldn’t stay angry forever. He softened and offered advice. "Women are easy to appease. If you help Isabella pay off her debts, she’ll soften up and reconcile with you."

"Then, you should hurry up and have a child with her. Once a woman has a child, she’ll feel tied down, and she won’t keep bringing up divorce."

Nathan nodded. "I understand."

Alaric, wanting to help Nathan through the crisis, lifted the financial sanctions he had imposed on him.

Nathan, relieved, immediately contacted Theo.
