Of the Internet stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is Can't Win Me Back (Isabella and Nathan). The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Chapter 63. Let's read the author's Can't Win Me Back (Isabella and Nathan) Internet story right here.
Nathan used his immense influence to swiftly shut down Isabella’s social media accounts, blocking her in an instant.
But the next day, Isabella quickly opened a new account. This time, she didn’t just expose the kidney donation report for Victoria, but also briefly outlined the backstory:
“When I was young and naive, I thought a man’s promises were as unshakable as a rock. Little did I know, I lost my kidney, and the love was gone. No, to be honest, love never existed in the first place. I was too young to know better.”
The post quickly garnered a lot of attention. The comment section filled with people’s outrage.
"That man is so much older than the poster. Back then, she was young and hadn’t been toughened by life, so she easily believed his empty promises. The man is despicable, taking her kidney and then running to his first love, treating his wife with emotional neglect. I’m sure he’s been scheming against the poor poster from the start."
"Oh my god, this is just plain marriage fraud, isn’t it?"
"Such a toxic man."
"Please, God, let me never meet a man like this."
"This man was just scamming her for the organ..."
...
When Nathan saw these comments, he was shocked, terrified, and enraged all at once. Isabella was like an indestructible cockroach, or an unquenchable weed. Was she really going to ruin his reputation like this?
Luckily, Isabella had yet to reveal his name. He still had a chance to fix things.
But Isabella wasted no time. She soon made another public announcement:
"If you continue hiding like a coward, I’ll expose your real identity tomorrow."
While she didn’t mention him by name, anyone who knew Nathan would understand that this was a direct challenge.
Nathan knew that if he delayed any longer, everything he had worked so hard for would come crashing down. He thought, "Just get the divorce. If that’s what Isabella wants, and what I secretly desire, then let it be."
But just as he was coming to terms with this, Alaric unexpectedly visited Nathan’s home. He sat down on the sofa, angrily pointing his finger. "Nathan, your wife is out there ruining your reputation. Are you just going to let her have her way?"
Nathan opened his mouth to speak but didn’t know how to explain.
He couldn’t tell Alaric that it was he who had pushed Isabella, the woman who had once loved him with all her heart, to this point.
Finally, he chose to deflect, saying, "She’s just using these methods to force me into a divorce. Dad, I... I want a divorce."
Alaric was furious. "A divorce? When you took Isabella’s kidney, I warned you. You’ll never be able to repay her for what you owe her in this life. Now you want to divorce her? Are you trying to prove you’re heartless and ungrateful?"
Nathan said, "But if we don’t divorce, Isabella won’t stop. She’ll keep revealing more of my secrets."
Alaric, beside himself with rage, grabbed the ashtray from the coffee table and threw it at Nathan. The ashtray hit Nathan’s forehead, causing blood to spill.
Alaric, almost choking with anger, raged, "If I had known this would happen, I’d have stopped you from associating with Victoria a long time ago!"
Nathan, unable to wipe the blood from his face, bowed his head, accepting his reprimand.
"Father, I know I was wrong," he said.
Seeing his son’s remorseful attitude, Alaric, though furious, couldn’t stay angry forever. He softened and offered advice. "Women are easy to appease. If you help Isabella pay off her debts, she’ll soften up and reconcile with you."
"Then, you should hurry up and have a child with her. Once a woman has a child, she’ll feel tied down, and she won’t keep bringing up divorce."
Nathan nodded. "I understand."
Alaric, wanting to help Nathan through the crisis, lifted the financial sanctions he had imposed on him.
Nathan, relieved, immediately contacted Theo.
