Without hesitation, Landon yelled in a hoarse voice, "I'll never make a pick! I want to save both of them!"

"Landon Harper, are you trying to get your hands on both of them?" Cackling manically, Preston turned to face Angelina, who was held on the springboard. "Angelina, your hard work and loyalty are worth it. Look! He's keen to make you his mistress!"

"You bastard! Vile son of a bitch! You'd better shut your fucking mouth!" Angelina bellowed at Preston. "If you want revenge, take my life! Release Madam!"

"Stay still!" Frank jabbed the back of her head with the muzzle of the gun.

"Tsk tsk. She's a feisty bitch." Preston shook his head.

Even as pain seeped through every part of Angelina's body, she remained fueled by rage. She yelled at Landon, "Mr. Landon, don't mind me! Save Madam—you must save her!"

"I want both!" His eyes took on a murderous look as he reiterated his stance with determination.

"Landon, you own a lot. Stop being greedy. You can't have your cake and eat it," Preston said flatly with a ruthless look in his eyes. "If I can't have my two arms, you don't get to enjoy two ladies. It's unfair to me, don't you think?"

"Let go of Lauren and Angie, and I'll agree to whatever conditions you set." Landon refused to back off. "I can offer you anything—money, stocks, or even the company!"

"Look at you! You should have come around earlier. Alas, it's too late." Preston stopped smiling. "Since you cannot come to a decision, I shall help you make a pick."

Then, he pressed another button on the remote control. A hole opened up in the bottom of the tank, and water started bubbling out of it.

"It takes only 10 minutes to fill the tank with water. A human can only survive three minutes underwater. I assume it will take less than that for Ms. Lauren because she's unconscious and does not exhibit survival instinct." Pointing the gun at Landon, Preston laughed so hard that he trembled.

Preston continued, "To be honest, I hope you'll pick Angelina because I dream of seeing Ms. Lauren drowning in the tank I specially designed for her. That will be such a tragic but beautiful sight, don't you think?"

The water kept bubbling from the hole, and it had filled the tank up to Lauren's chest. Time ticked by. Landon stood in front of the tank, pounding against the glass in agony as he called out to Lauren. Even at this moment, he refused to make his pick. He would have gladly died if he could save both Lauren and Angelina, but he couldn't possibly choose to save one of the two.

All of a sudden, they heard a dull noise that shook the building. One of Preston's men rushed in in panic. "M-Mr. Preston, the police have surrounded the area! They're coming in!"

"What are you afraid of? We have enough ammunition and hand grenades. It will take the police a while to get to us."
