"I don't think this is something a street thug would do," Jasper knowingly said as he caressed Alyssa's neck.

"Cyrus, I think we should investigate the crime scene. Any clues could exonerate Uncle Nathan!" Alyssa's phone buzzed the moment she finished speaking. It was Colene.

"Colene."

"Lyse, Nathan would never kill anyone! Someone must have framed him!" Colene's voice trembled with anxiety.

"Colene, don't panic. We'll get to the bottom of this." Alyssa's heart tightened, but she continued to comfort her gently.

Colene took a deep breath, her voice hoarse from distress. "Nothing can happen to Nathan. Otherwise, the den of thieves he has been holding off would rebel. The Ivory Gang will fall apart if he's gone!"

Alyssa understood the gravity of the matter. The gang members were not interested in business politics; they would come with guns blazing if provoked.

The call was on speaker, so Jasper heard everything Colene said. His gaze was fierce as he gently reassured her, "Fear not, Madam Colene. The Ivory Gang won't descend into chaos. Landon has powerful allies. It would be their end if anyone dared to touch a strand of your father's hair."

"This is a family matter. I can't possibly trouble Mr. Landon to help. Plus, he is finally enjoying life with Ms. Lauren. It would be rude of me to add such trouble to his plate."

Colene's voice was laced with pain as she continued, "When my father heard Nathan had been arrested, he collapsed. He's currently hospitalized and still not out of the woods yet. Lyse, I need to be there for him and stabilize The Ivory Gang if necessary.

"I made a promise to Winston years ago that I would focus on being his wife and not meddle in The Ivory Gang's business. I'm afraid that I have to break that promise now."

"Carl, do you think Amber has anything to do with this incident?" Jameson suddenly changed the topic, looking at him coldly.

Carl's heart tightened, but he kept his face calm. "Mr. Schmidt, I know you've always been doubtful of Ms. Altman, and she has let you down before. I've looked into it, and this incident has nothing to do with her."
