Betty couldn't contain her delight upon hearing about Jasper's whipping. She sought out Lauren, who had nearly slipped her mind. "Hey, you idiot!"

Betty kicked the door open. Lauren, who was sketching, dropped her pencil onto the floor at the sudden intrusion. "W-What's going on, Betty?"

"It's time to witness the spectacle downstairs! Jasper is about to get whipped! Hahaha!" Betty cackled like a maniac.

Lauren felt her heart skip a beat. "Jasper? But why?"

"It's all because that insolent little shit insulted Dad to his face!" Betty replied with a malicious grin. "Hmph! Does Jasper truly believe he's untouchable just because he's the company's president? He wouldn't have gotten the position if it weren't for Justin's health issues!

"Dad would have shipped him off to some obscure company branch in the world if he hadn't pitied Jasper for his mom's untimely death! Jasper's really taking things for granted."

Betty might have called Lauren an idiot, but Lauren was far from one. She picked up Betty's disdain for Jasper from the remarks.

Feeling frustrated, she mustered all her courage and retorted, "Jasper isn't that kind of person. You must have joined hands with Mom to bully him."

"You fucking idiot! What did you just say?" Betty yelled and charged at her. She closed her eyes in fear and reflexively shielded her head.

"M-Ms. Betty," a maid called out to Betty just in time with an urgent tone. "M-Mr. Javier wants you and Ms. Lauren on the first floor right now."

Hearing that, Betty dropped her arms resentfully. "Got it!" Then, she stormed out of the room.

Upon hearing the familiar voice, Lauren choked up, and tears began to roll down her cheeks.

"Lauren? Lauren, what's wrong? Why didn't you say anything?" Alyssa's tone was filled with worry.

"Alyssa, they're bullying Jasper."

Alyssa was confused by the remark. Thinking that Lauren was exaggerating, she teased, "Oh, is that so? Who has the power to bully Jasper, though? He'd get rid of them if they tried."

"Mom and Dad are bullying Jasper! Dad is going to whip him!" Lauren anxiously paced around.

"Whip him?" Alyssa was taken aback.

"Please, Alyssa! Can you … Can you save Jasper? Dad is going to whip him soon. What if he hurts Jasper badly?"
