Chapter 0200
As the magnate led his girlfriend on a tour of their new residence, Jessica and Amelia followed behind.
Jessica fixed her gaze on the man’s retreating figure. “Amelia, do you. see that wild man?”
Wild man?
Amelia scanned the surroundings again, “With all these beautiful flowers and plants, it’s enough, but a wild man, too? The developer really went all out.”
“Smack!”
Jessica slapped Amelia on the arm. “I’m talking about him!”
“Oh.” Amelia straightened up, serious now. “What about my
magnificent boss?”
She would never stoop to calling her illustrious boss a wild man, not even to agree with this illegitimate princess.
That would be improper.
After all, with the amount of money the boss paid, he deserved equivalent respect-a tenet of professional ethics.
“Ever seen a bastard?”
Amelia’s brilliant mind couldn’t quite grasp the connection. “What does a bastard have to do with my magnificent boss?”
Jessica gritted her teeth. “Whatever a bastard looks like, Ethan looks like that.”
“That can’t be right.” Amelia shook her head in denial.

“Why not?”
“Bastards are so tender and green, and my boss is much older.”
“So, if you compared my boss to a little bastard, I probably wouldn’t argue.”
Jessica almost burst out laughing.
Then she heard Amelia say, “I’d probably just cuss you out right away. As the most loyal employee, I must uphold my boss’s dignity.”
Unbeknownst to Ethan, the two women behind him were exchanging words, disparaging him in ways he couldn’t imagine.
He was only aware of the neighbors in the twin house, who seemed to have just moved in as well. Luckily, their separate entrances ould not disturb Madison.
“Are you really staying over tonight?” Madison asked.
Ethan glanced back. “I have a dinner engagement later; I was just teasing Jessica.”
“I’ve noticed you’re always verbally attacking and despising Jessica, but in reality, you care about her a lot.”
Ethan wrapped his arm around her waist, grinning. “Jealous?”
“Nonsense.”
Madison had no reason to be jealous of Jessica.
Once the furniture was moved in and Ethan made sure the house had no issues, he left with William.
“This place is great!” Amelia was particularly taken with the location, happily exploring every corner.
Though the house wasn’t large, it was fully equipped, and the environment was splendid.
Jessica and Amelia quickly chose their rooms next to Madison’s.
Girls together were nothing if not chatterboxes.
“Hey, hey, Jessica!” Amelia, who had just settled in, called out from the balcony, marveling at the view.
Jessica ignored her.
“There’s a handsome guy!!!”
At that, Jessica darted over, “Where, where?”
“He’s in the house across the street! Amelia’s eyes sparkled with
excitement.
By the time Jessica arrived, all she caught was a glimpse of his back.
But that alone seemed almost on par with her brother’s stature.
Was there really a man whose physique could match her brother’s?
Jessica didn’t believe it.
“Maybe he’s the type who turns heads when he looks back.”
Amelia clicked her tongue. “Jessica, you have such a poor
imagination, you know that?”
“You’re the one with a beautiful heart. Who else would think about driving their own brother mad?”
Amelia smiled even brighter. “Because of my pure heart, I want to
drive him mad. If I were wicked, I’d have cut him with a knife by now.”
Back in the living room, Amelia continued slicing the sugar cane with
a knife.
Jessica suggested, “After you drive your brother mad, maybe you should see a psychologist for some self-help.”
Amelia paused, knife in hand. “Jessica, you might escape online bashing, but can you dodge my cane-cutting knife? Believe it or not?”
Seconds later-
“Murder-Screams-!”
Qin Hualin, airing out his new home with open windows and doors, heard the shrill scream distinctly.
He had returned to the country the day before and moved in that morning. He chose this location for its tranquility, but reality…
Qin Hualin glanced over at the house across, although he couldn’t s
who it was.
His phone rang. “Dad.”
“Son, shall we dine together tonight?”
“Sure.”
His dinner with his parents was set for six-thirty; Qin Hualin arrived early, as did his parents.
“Son!” Mrs. Qin was dignified and scholarly.
Mother and son embraced, exchanging smiles.
Mr. Qin was a bit more serious, but his joy at his son’s return was
evident.
As the family settled down, Mr. Qin broached the subject. “How are you considering it?”
Qin Hualin pondered a moment. “Dad, I’m doing quite well abroad.”
“You’d be just as well here. I’m retiring soon, and with your rich aviation experience and an impressive resume, there’s no problem taking up a position at Air China. Besides, your mother and I didn’t raise you to work for foreigners,” Mr. Qin said, growing visibly upset.
