Chapter 24: Escape Plan

I faked a smile on Miho, trying to hide my nervousness about what Vigor said.

“But I want to stay with my best friend even for a day, Vigor.” Miho said naturally.

I can’t read his emotions, he is just blankly looking at us, but earlier I can feel that he is anxious.

“I won’t be interfering. I will just watch you. I have to guard my wife, she’s very pregnant.” He said calmly in his hoarse voice.

I looked at Miho again. “W-well, yes maybe.” I just said, giving up. Maybe we could find a certain situation where we can runaway from him. But the problem is about how am I going to tell Miho about Vigor. How will she able to understand my point. She might ask me in the middle about why I want to run away.

In the end, Vigor really came with us. Miho drove her car and Vigor made me ride with him. I was so frustrated, but I can’t show it out. I keep taking deep breaths in frustration. I can’t even dare to watch his face even in a slightest second.

“Don’t turn anywhere where I can’t see you.” He suddenly said while we’re in the car.

I didn’t minded him and just watch how fast we are driving and the different height of pine tree entertained me.

“Love-“

“Don’t call me that,” I cut him off without turning to him.

He went silent for a second. I heard him took a deep breath too.

Minutes have passed and we were finally in the city. We were only following Miho and she took us in such a crowded place. Vigor groaned.

“Ugh, not here.” He spoke.

I just went off the car, my legs hurt and so was my back because my tummy is very round and heavy. Am I going to have an obese child?

Somehow, that though brought happiness in me. I hid a smile.

“Let’s go!” Miho actively said the moment I get out.

I can feel Vigor’s presence too.

“Don’t go anywhere, Miho.” He said with a warn.

Miho just looked at him and nodded.

Indeed, Miho brought me to stores where we could possibly buy baby’s clothes. We don’t know the gender yet, but I am already assuming that I am having a boy. I don’t know, I just feel it.

Since we don’t know the gender, Miho bought unisex infant clothes. I don’t know why Vigor never bought anything for our baby yet, maybe he wasn’t really interested with my child. Maybe he wanted Viennese to carry hi child instead?

Huh! That thought irritated me big time. And somehow, it feels like daggers were thrown at me directly. That fact is just very painful.

My mood changed while walking with Miho, my chest tightened. Thankfully, my best friend was holding my hands the reason why I can keep up with her.

“I want to get away from him.” I whispered and I stopped walking. I don’t even care if Vigor’s still there. I don’t even care if he heard me when I said that.

Miho stopped. She turned to me and hugged me.

“We will.”

After saying that, she pulled my arms again and walked fast in the sea of people. I didn’t look back; I didn’t look away.

“PYRESS!”

I can hear him calling me from nearby. Miho got alarmed and turned to many directions. Thank God the people are too many and busy, we can easily lose him.

The more we walk, the more I can feel pain on my back and legs. I am already panting. Miho stops in a corner from time to time to let me breath, but if we really want to get away from him, then we must get out of here fast too. We have to continue walking.

If only I could run, but I can’t.
