She leaned in slightly. "She fooled you for years with that kind, doting sister act. Now she’s trying to pull the same trick on me. But I won’t fall for it."

"But how?" Evangeline’s lips were dry, and she licked them nervously.

"She’s been locked up for months. How could she have done all this from inside a prison cell? Are you sure you aren’t mistaken?"

"Just because she can’t leave doesn’t mean others can’t get in," Suzy explained.

"She’s been working against you in the shadows for years. You really think you uncovered all her hidden resources?

“The ones you found were the ones she let you find. The real network is still out there."
