Chapter 38

Bang!

After the boy clicked on the page, his computer broke down.

This disappointed Tricia. She vented all her anger on the boy by shouting, “What is wrong?” “The virus from the opponent infected my computer, It broke down now.”

The boy looked at his computer screen and sighed deeply.

Both Tricia and the boy wondered who their rival was. They admitted that this rival, who had defeated the straight–A student of the Department of Computing, was competent.

In the classroom, Finley pressed the enter button.

Looking at the codes on the computer screen, she smiled.

The game just now was wonderful. Finley admired her strong opponent too.

Finley had attended the training provided by professional hackers, so she was much stronger than that boy wearing a pair of glasses.

Finley

sore in her hands after the past 20–minutes of intense work. She stretched herself.

A bottle of lemon soda appeared on her desk. There were water beads on the bottle, so someone must just take it out of the refrigerator.

Then, there came a pleasant voice.

“You wrote codes at noon! How hard–working! Try this!“.

Against the strong sunlight at noon, Finley raised her head and met a pair of eyes.

Those eyes were as bright as the stars in the sky.

His facial features were exquisite. There were sweat beads on his hair. The boy wore white sportswears, and there was a faint smell of sweat around him.

This boy was Andy Davis.

Finley was taken by surprise.

She pushed the bottle of lemon soda back to Andy.

Andy smiled with disappointment. Then, he asked, “Are you mad at me? I could help you that day if I broke my promise. My dad is on the board, and my uncle is the principal. I could prevent the expulsion from happening.”

“No. I want to thank you. Those messes help me to grow up. Andy, I am back now!” Finley tilted her head to look at Andy.

Andy found Finley cool in this reunion.

From now on, Finley would have nothing to fear about.

Finley thought that she was qualified to be friends with Andy now.

“I’m glad that you’re back. Will you tell me how you made this happen? My uncle is stubborn. He won’t change his decision even if he knows it is a mistake.”

As the nephew of the principal, Andy knew his uncle well.

“Well, I am lucky since he changed his decision for me.” Finley raised her eyebrows and grinned.

This smiling face stunned Andy.
