“Get out of my way, stop causing trouble! Tiffany, do you want me to strangle you?” Quincy’s eyes were red with fury.

All he wanted was to explain things to Mr. Fay, but every time he tried, someone else jumped in, making everything even more complicated.

“If you really want me dead, then go ahead and strangle me. I don’t care,” Tiffany lifted her chin, exposing her neck to his hands as tears streamed down her face. She knew Quincy would never hurt a woman, much less strangle her in front of everyone.

Tiffany was gambling on the chaos. Even if it made Quincy hate her, it would be worth it if she could drive a permanent wedge between him and the Fay family.

Mr. Fay, however, was convinced it was all just an act. This was his home, not the set of a soap opera.

Enraged, Mr. Fay kicked at Quincy again. “Make up for it? Over my dead body!”

“Mr. Fay, if you want to hit someone, hit me, but stop hitting Quincy!” Tiffany cried as she rushed to shield him.

It was at this moment that Lydia emerged, having just read the messages. The scene that greeted her was shocking. Tiffany standing protectively in front of Quincy, playing the role of the damsel in distress, even going so far as to push her father.

Lydia saw her father stumble backward, losing his balance. Panicked, she rushed to catch him, but they were too far apart. She wasn’t fast enough to reach him before he fell. Luckily, Eugene stepped in, grabbing Mr. Fay just in time.

Relieved, Lydia helped steady her father and thanked Eugene. But when she turned to Quincy, her eyes were filled with disappointment. “Leave. I don’t want to see you anymore.”

“Quincy, this is my house. We’re divorced. You brought your mistress here without permission. That’s trespassing. I can call the police just as easily as you can. Don’t think everyone’s a fool who’ll fall for your threats,” Lydia said coldly, her eyes fixed on him.

Quincy had brought Tiffany here, stirring up her father to the point of rage. And worse, Tiffany had tried to push her father down. Lydia had seen it all with her own eyes.

As for Quincy’s injuries, she couldn’t find it in herself to care.

First, he had come to her house uninvited. Second, his pain was nothing compared to the suffering she had endured.

After all, she had lost their child. A few bruises couldn’t come close to that. If they were both hurting now, at least it was fair.
