While Sally was defending Miranda, Nina's expression turned cold.

Seeing Nina speak up, Sally added, "Nina, look at the state of Miranda. Stop causing her more harm!" Her instinct was to protect Miranda.

Approaching them, Nina saw Miranda crying, looking fragile and pitiful. "Why can't I speak up? Who among you is truly worried about Aunt Zoe? You're worried about your son doesn’t want you anymore, and Miranda is worried about being blamed. She's putting on an act to gain sympathy. As Zoe was rushed into the operating room with serious injuries, Nina felt no need to hold back.

"Don't talk nonsense!" Sally snapped. "Yes, I pushed Zoe, but it was gentle. Why don't you mention that Zoe intentionally fell?"

Nina looked at Sally. "That push wasn't gentle at all. We all saw it."

Nina coldly mocked, "Now that you're caught doing something wrong, you're trying to use your status as an elder to pressure me? Weren't you the one who refused to acknowledge me before? You've accepted everything for Miranda’s sake. Who is she to you that you're so careful to protect her from any harm?"

Sally instinctively grasped Miranda's arm. "This doesn't concern you. If it weren't for your instigation, Zoe wouldn't have laid a hand on Miranda, leading to her deafness!"

Nina's gaze shifted back to Miranda, who was still sobbing, tears streaming down her face, looking pitiful. Taking advantage of her hearing loss, she seemed to ignore the chaos around her, leaving others to clean up the mess.

"Did she tell you that Zoe caused her deafness?" Nina found it amusing. "Ask Nash how Miranda's ears were really damaged. It wasn't Aunt Zoe's doing. You're just a pawn in someone else's game, and you don't even realize it!"

"This is all wrong!" Sally exclaimed, witnessing Nina's stubbornness, her eyes blazing with fury. She wanted to unleash her fury on Nina. She was about to grab Nina's hair, just as she would have done with Zoe.

However, Nash stepped in front, his tone cold and firm. "Enough!"

Sally turned to Nash. "Nash, did you see that? This is the true face of Nina. She's always bullying Miranda. She's not worthy of being a daughter-in-law of the York family. Miranda is a hundred times better than her. Miranda is the one suitable to be your wife. You should divorce Nina right away!"

She emphasized it several times.

"You don't need to worry!" Nash's gaze was calm but determined. "If anything happens to Zoe, you're responsible. Don't blame others for your mistakes. It's fortunate if nothing serious occurs to Zoe. But if it does, you won't be able to escape responsibility. You'll have to bear the consequences of your impulsive actions. I won't help you then!"
