Nash dropped to one knee, followed by the men behind him, creating an imposing scene that filled the room with tension. Julia stumbled back a few steps in shock. Even Nina was stunned.

Julia had initially been full of righteous anger, but seeing Nash kneel, her fire diminished. "Nash, what are you doing? Get up now!" she said, her tone softening.

Nash kept his head bowed. "Mom, please entrust Nina to me."

Julia felt embarrassed. "They were supposed to divorce. I didn't expect this."

"It's alright, we understand. This gentleman seems sincere," Mrs. Lincoln replied kindly. "If there's a chance to save the marriage, we shouldn't interfere. Let's respect Nina's wishes."

Not wanting to cause trouble, Mrs. Lincoln and her family stood up to leave.

Julia, feeling apologetic, said, "You’re leaving? I'm sorry about this. I didn't know it would turn out like this."

"It's okay, you don’t need to see us out. Focus on resolving this situation," Mrs. Lincoln said, glancing warily at the intimidating presence of Nash's men.

Julia escorted them out with repeated apologies, then turned back to Nash. "Get up, they've left."

She had not even fully processed the situation when Nina started walking away.

"Nina!" Nash stood up and quickly followed after her.

Nina did not walk fast, knowing Nash would catch up. She turned back to him, her expression cold. "Do you think being a little nicer to me will make me change my mind? Maybe that would have worked when I was a young girl, but I'm not a child anymore. I don't feel anything."

Nash was not angry and he called out softly, "Nina."

"The marriage certificate is already torn up. Legally, we're still married, but to me, it doesn't count anymore. If you don't want to get a divorce, fine, I don't care about that piece of paper. I just hope you'll stay away from me and not disrupt my life. If you ever come to your senses and want a divorce, you can send the papers over. Everything can be handled by my lawyer.
