"It's bad! She is coming this way!"

Seeing Nina heading in their direction, James and Felix quickly moved towards the back of the kitchen.

"What's going on?" Felix asked. "Why is she coming this way? Did we get caught?"

"Impossible!" James quickly denied. "We were trained soldiers. There's no way she'd notice us."

"Then why is she coming?"

Both men crouched as they moved.

"Let's hide for now."

They concealed themselves in a hidden corner.

"Don't let her spot us. We'll move when she leaves."

Nina inspected the fire alarm system.

It had a hole punched through it.

"Looks like it was smashed," she noted.

The owner quickly explained, "A server might have accidentally bumped into it, triggering the alarm."

"Your servers have that much strength?" Nina asked skeptically. "This hasn't happened before, has it?"

"This is the first time," the owner admitted, struggling to come up with an excuse.

Nina observed the large hole, drawing her own conclusions. "Seems like your server has some impressive strength, managing to hit this specific spot."

She scanned the area, searching for suspicious individuals, but saw no one.

With the incident disrupting the kitchen, the chefs had stopped working.

"Are they gone?"

James and Felix, hiding under a table blocked by obstacles, could only see feet. The dimly lit kitchen did not help too.

"I don't think they've left yet," Felix said. "No rush. We wait until she's gone. We were soldiers. We won't mess up."

Her expression changed as she shouted, "James!"

James froze, realizing they had been caught. "We're busted!"

"It's your fault! Why did you run out? We were almost in the clear!"

James blamed Felix. "Didn’t you run out too? You're such a coward, afraid of a dog!"

"I'm not afraid of dogs! You're the one who freaked out when it drooled on us!" Felix shot back.

"It's all your fault! Let's see how you explain this when we get back!"

"No, it's clearly your fault!"

The two bickered, ignoring Nina's approach. Nina, now standing right in front of them, asked sternly, "Was it you two who messed with the fire alarm?"

"It wasn't me. It was him!" James immediately pointed to Felix.

Seeing James's lack of loyalty, Felix also did not hold back. “Ma’am, it was him! He punched it and said that as long as the alarm went off, you wouldn’t be able to finish your meal!”
