Of the Faith Shaw stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery. The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Chapter 673. Let's read the author's CEO's Tears Over Pregnancy Test Discovery Faith Shaw story right here.
"Bang bang bang—"
Several shots were fired in response.
Seth's shot had not hit Nina.
Nina squeezed her eyes shut in fear, her heart pounding wildly.
The gunfire, passing just by her cheek, left a sharp ringing in her ears as it hit the trees behind her.
When she opened her eyes, she saw Seth abandoning everything and diving into the river without hesitation.
He had not shot her! Or perhaps, in that moment, he did not dare to.
Nina, still shaken, stood there breathing heavily, watching the spot where Seth had disappeared. The river ended in a rapid cascade, a large waterfall where the current was fast enough that falling into it would mean certain death or serious injury.
It was Seth's only option.
"Nina!" Nash rushed over, grabbing her arm and checking her for injuries. "Are you hurt?"
Nina was too tense to breathe properly. She shook her head, her face pale. "I'm fine."
Still rattled, she had gambled on Seth’s hesitation to shoot, and she had been right.
For some reason, he did not dare kill her. From his expression, she could tell she posed a significant threat to him. He wanted to eliminate her but was too pressured to do so.
The special forces quickly caught up, finding the boat still there. They searched near the waterfall but saw no sign of Seth.
Nash still wanted to reprimand her. "You were too reckless. Even if you wanted to buy time, you shouldn’t risk your life like that. This time you were lucky. What about next time? I don't want you taking such risks again!"
Nina, still recovering from the scare, nodded. "I know."
She would not always act impulsively. She would assess the situation first.
"But how did you know Seth would come out here?" Nash asked, puzzled. "The lab is full of traps. People got lost inside, yet you found his escape route so quickly."
Nina was just as bewildered. "I didn't know. When I got here, everything seemed familiar. I followed my instincts and found this spot, just in time to see Seth coming out. It felt like I was being led here."
Nash looked at her, amazed. "Then do you know anything about the mechanisms inside the lab?"
