Nash paused for a moment, surprised. "He moved!"

Nina felt it too. "See, I told you it was real."

Nash pressed his face against her belly. "Do you think he can sense me?"

Nina looked down at him, smiling. "Probably. Babies are quite perceptive, even before they're born. I think he can hear us talking."

Nash was overjoyed. It was a new feeling, the joy of becoming a father. He kissed Nina's belly, cherishing their time together.

Nina stroked his hair. "You'll get to meet him soon. Even though you haven't been around much lately, you'll have plenty of time to bond with him once he's born."

Nash smiled without saying a word. He helped Nina to the bedroom.

She wanted to take a bath and rest. He prepared a nightgown for her and helped her with a bath. These were tasks Nina had always done for Nash, but now the roles were reversed.

Nina felt a bit shy but reminded herself that they were about to have a child, so she let Nash take on the responsibilities of a husband and father.

Nash tended to her with great care, washing and drying her gently. Though he was a bit clumsy at first, he gradually became more confident and tender.

After her bath, he carried her to the bed and laid her down, then quickly took a shower himself.

Once he returned, he joined her in bed, pulling her close and letting her rest her head on his shoulder. He gently stroked her face, hoping to help her fall asleep quickly.

After all the day's events, she was exhausted.

Was he, Nash, just a part of her imagination, like Zac?

Seeing his prolonged silence and disbelief, Nina asked, "What's wrong? Do you really not remember?"

This memory was vivid for her, etched in her mind a thousand times over, making it seem so real.

She didn't realize it was someone else's life she was recalling, and that Zac and Nash had no connection.

"Nina," Nash began gently, "I've wanted to tell you this for a long time. I did some research, and I think you need to know the truth. Your memories are confused. I'm not Zac, and I never rescued you. You were never kidnapped."

Nina's eyes dimmed, disbelief and shock washing over her. "What are you saying? My memories are wrong?"
