"Hi, I'm Nina," she introduced herself.

Nash cut their conversation short, saying, "Alright, let's move."

The child had calmed down, thanks to one of the women. Chana remained in the group, her eyes constantly drifting toward Nina and Nash, monitoring their interactions.

Seeing a chance, she pulled out a handkerchief she had embroidered. "Captain, you're sweating. Let me help you wipe it off."

As she reached out, Nash turned his head, avoiding her touch. "No need."

Embarrassed, Chana apologized, "I'm sorry, Captain. I just wanted to help."

Nash pursed his lips, ignoring her. Chana felt a pang of awkwardness, unsure of how to bridge the gap between them.

Nina noticed their interaction, seeing that Chana and Nash had spent quite a bit of time together. It was evident from the way Chana offered to wipe his sweat.

As Nina was pondering this, Nash suddenly said, "You wipe my sweat."

He clearly wanted Chana to see this. Chana's face fell, her hands clenching tightly.

"Huh?" Nina was confused, wondering if he was talking to her. She looked up to see him staring back.

Nash and his troop came into the mountains, carrying heavy gear on their backs and weapons in their hands. The long hours of trekking were ten times more exhausting for them. This was part of their regular training. Nash was already drenched in sweat.

Arin, noticing the scene, was excited. This felt like a scene from a romance drama. She thought, "Go ahead, wipe it! Show who's boss!"

Nina, however, handed him some tissues from her pocket. "I only have these. If you need more, ask someone else."

Arin's excitement deflated.

Nina walked ahead, puzzled by Nash's actions.

He had initiated their divorce, yet now he seemed to want to be close to her again. It left Nina feeling both irritated and confused. She had no idea what he was trying to do.

Nash, undeterred by the rejection, took the tissues.

"She's treating you as a rival, just like I did when I first met you," Arin explained.

Nina didn't see Chana as a threat. "If a man truly likes you, he'll only have eyes for you. Fighting over a man is pointless."

"That makes sense," Arin admitted.

Nina added, "If you like a guy and he likes someone else, just let him go. There are plenty of fish in the sea."

Arin, still a bit unsure, nodded thoughtfully.

Back in the village, the women were drying herbs. Nina helped them spread out the herbs to dry in the sun, as they needed to be dried before they could be packed and sold. The people here were very hardworking.

Nash, his clothes soaked with sweat, stood nearby drinking water. The sight of him, with water running down his neck, captivated Chana.

She hadn't spent much time with him, but seeing his good looks and his role as the leader of the troops made her feel that he was her safest refuge.
