With that, they left. Nina was not locked up and she could walk freely within the place. A few Yaren women walked past her. She greeted them, but they did not respond, walking silently with their heads down.

In today's world, they were not much different from being servants in a historical drama. Nina couldn't figure out what this place was for.

She went to check where they had left and saw that the entire compound was locked, with high-voltage wires on top. There was no way to get out. She could only move around within the compound, which was quite large. It took her about twenty minutes to walk around the perimeter, all lined with high-voltage wires.

Nina heard the sound of something breaking, followed by the sound of a whip.

The voice was coarse. They were speaking in the Yaren language, which Nina could understand. She went in to see a rather fat woman holding a whip, beating a thin girl who looked to be about fifteen. The girl trembled as she hugged her head, her hands and body covered in fresh and old whip marks.

The whip struck the girl’s already wounded hands, making her scream in pain, unable to resist. There were others present, but they didn’t dare intervene, obviously too scared to get involved.

"You wretched girl, this is your fate…" Mrs. Quintana continued to whip the girl until she couldn't anymore.

Nina grabbed Mrs. Quintana's whip, stopping her from hitting the girl further. "If you keep hitting her like this, she’ll die! All this over a broken bowl?"

The girl trembled and tugged at Nina's pants. "Please don’t say anything… you’ll die!"

"Get her! Let's see how tough she really is!" Mrs. Quintana shouted, gripping the barbed whip she had ready for Nina.

Nina glanced at the men approaching and then at the women who were too weak to fight back. In a swift move, she turned and quickly approached Mrs. Quintana.

Mrs. Quintana was still thinking about how to punish Nina, but before she realized it, Nina was already behind her, grabbing the whip and wrapping it around her neck.

"Ah!" Mrs. Quintana screamed as the barbs on the whip cut a gash on her face. She was startled, not expecting someone as tall and slim as Nina to be so skilled.
