Nina's words were like a sharp dagger, piercing Nash's heart within seconds, leaving it bloodied and full of holes. He knew, however, that Nina was suffering more than he was.

"Nina, please, don’t get so worked up. There are things I’ll explain to you, but you need to wait a bit longer." Nash took a deep breath, trying to calm her down.

But Nina did not want to hear it. "Nash, I’ve already waited five years. How much longer do you expect me to wait?"

Before Nash could respond, Nina yelled again, "Are you expecting me to spend my entire life waiting for you? Where is my child?"

"Beep, beep beep..."

The phone suddenly emitted a series of busy signals. Nash had hung up.

Regardless of why Nash had hung up, Nina knew that calling back would be pointless. He would either be offline, busy, or simply not answering. But her emotions, already stirred up by Nash, surged into a wave of grief. Clutching her chest, she felt a pain so intense it left her struggling to breathe.

Seeing this, Micah strode over to her. He offered a tissue and placed a comforting hand on her shoulder, gently patting her back. "Nina, we’ll get to the bottom of this together. No matter what obstacles you face, my father and I will help you overcome them."

They had always been her strongest supporters.

Nina shook her head. "I’ll investigate on my own." Wiping away her tears quickly, Nina took a deep breath.

"Alright." Nina couldn’t refuse.

While Pharaoh had not appeared in front of her, she noticed him silently watching as she left. As she turned her head, she saw Pharaoh smiling at her.

Apart from that garden encounter where they spoke the most, she had not exchanged many words with him, nor had he appeared before her again.

From the Pharaoh's perspective, and considering everything Micah said, she could understand. Only a father would go to such lengths for his daughter, making significant sacrifices and showing unconditional love.
