The tiger did not dodge. The torch hit its head and fell to the ground, extinguished. A small flame flared up on the tiger’s head, causing it to freeze in panic.

Nina seized the opportunity, picked up the fallen torch, and with all her strength, drove it into the tiger's body.

Nash was stunned.

"The flame is out. We need to find a place to settle down quickly and get a fire going," Nina said, recalling a cliff they had passed earlier with a cave entrance.

"Alright, your call. Once we're done, I’ll cook us some snake meat," Nash responded without hesitation. Seeing Nina’s lack of fear made him marvel at her transformation once again.

With synchronized movements, they swiftly dealt with the snake. It was as thick as an arm, and just as deadly as the one that had chased them earlier. When it hit the ground, the cave shook slightly.
