When interacting with strangers, Orion was particularly quiet, and in this case, he did not say a word.

Seeing his silence, the other kids began to sneer, "If you can't talk, why are you even here to learn? I think you should be in a school for disabled kids!"

"Exactly!"

These kids were brought in with the expectation of making a new friend, but instead, they found someone who would not talk. Feeling frustrated, they started to ridicule him, assuming he was mute.

Orion, though he disliked talking, was not mute or incapable. He glared at them and said firmly, "Apologize!"

Just as the kids were about to mock him further, they noticed Micah striding over with a serious expression.

"Mr. Micah!" they all called out in unison.

Orion looked at Micah, his gaze softening though he remained silent.

Micah nodded, crouching down to place a hand gently on Orion’s head. "Orion, how are you feeling?"

One of the boys, dressed in a white t-shirt with tanned skin, pointed at Orion and said, "Mr. Micah, he hardly talks, and when we tried to play with him, he pushed Fabian!"

The smile that had been on Micah's face immediately vanished. He took Orion’s hand and looked sharply at the group of kids. "I brought you here to help him adjust. But you're lying at such a young age?"

Micah trusted Orion unconditionally. From the time Nina brought Orion along without knowing he was her child, Orion had shown qualities that drew her to him.

Even through all his treatments, Orion never once complained or asked for anything, which only deepened Micah's belief in his character.

Orion shook his head gently.

"Did those kids really not bother you?" Micah asked, his voice thick with concern.

Though Orion did not speak much, he did not appear to want to tattle either. He shook his head again, pulling slightly on Micah’s shirt. Orion looked up at Micah, his eyes shining like stars.

Micah understood immediately that Orion did not want him to punish the other kids.

Micah lifted Orion into his arms. "I know you're a good kid, but when someone mistreats you, they have to face the consequences."

Then, with a warm smile, he added, "Let’s go get something tasty to eat."
