Changing Bobby novel Chapter 4

About half an hour in the class the teacher looked around.

"Oh class we have a new student here, sir will you stand and introduce your self".

I look at her, then looked around the class. I felt my hands began to shake. My head began to hurt. I don't know what to do.

"He doesn't want to Ms. Saunders". I heard Ashton said beside me.

I force myself not to look at him nor the teacher, nor the class. I just held my head down and looked at my hands still shaking in my lap.

"Um.. ok Ashton". the teacher said and continued with her lesson.

The bell rang and I waited for everyone to exit then I got up and walked out the door. I was heading to my new locker but some kids were there. I turned back around and in front of me was Ashton. I stared at him and he did the same, he started walking to me and I step back but hit something hard. I almost scream but I clasp my hand over my mouth and turned around. My heart stop, a big guy, a beast was standing there, he looked furious. I step back from him, I hold my breath and walked backwards.

"Watch where you're going kid". he guy said. Tightening his fist.

That was my cue to run, I turned around and ran but I didn't got too far when Ashton grab me and pulled me into the bathroom. That's when I began to scream.

"Leave me alone! Let go!". I push him off of me and I went into a corner.

"Don't touch me". I began to whimper.

Why do people always want to hurt me. I slid down the wall and pulled my knees to my chest. Shaking. Ashton came closer.

"Leave me alone, go away!".

"Hey, calm down I won't hurt you".

I took in a deep breath and hold it, he have been nice to me so far. I looked up at him.

"W-why did that g-guy want to h-hurt me", i choked out.

"That's just Bailey, I wouldn't let him hurt you, he's just a fucking asshole".

I winced at what he just say, I hate when people curse, "fucking asshole, you're gonna die tonight". The memories rush back to me. My eyes started to get blurry from tears and I began to cry hard, very hard.

"Bobby what's wrong?"Ashton's soft voice asked.

"I-". I choked on a sob that seems to be stuck in my throat, then started to cry again, just thinking about it.

"Shh, Bobby don't cry you're okay". He moved closer to me and hold on to my shoulders.

"DONT TOUCH ME!!!". I yelled.

Ashton's P. O. V

"DONT TOUCH ME". Bobby yelled.

I backed away from him. He began shrinking in a fetal position. I then realized that's something happened to him. This kid was broken, lost in his own facade. I want to know what's got him like this and I want to help him, I don't know why but I just want to. I walked to the door and locked it, I came back and bobby slowly stood up. He moved to the other side away from me. I just had to take it slow if I wanted him to be comfortable around me.

"Hey Bobby". He look up.

"Don't hurt me". his eyes pleaded.

"I won't hurt you Bobby, I promise I  just want to talk".

"O-okay". he stuttered out.

I move to him and he step back.
