Wesley was very distracted as he drove on the road.

When he reached the bridge over the sea, he stopped the car. He got out of the car and walked onto the bridge, looking out into the vast sea, and sighed.

He shut his eyes, looking pained.

He knew he deserved everything that happened, but he still felt immense pain. If only everything could start over.

"Sir, what are you doing?"

A voice sounded from behind him.

He turned around; he saw a young lad standing behind him, looking anxious.

Wesley furrowed his brows.

Before he could speak, the young man suddenly ran over and said, "Sir, don't do anything foolish! You can always talk things through, or you can share it with me. It's very dangerous here. Don't stay here, alright?"

At the sight of the anxious look on the young lad's face, Wesley knew the latter thought he wanted to take his own life.

"It's not what you think it is. I just need some time alone to calm down."

"Really?" The young man walked to the sidewalk and stood next to Wesley. "Sir, what happened to you? You frightened me. I thought you were going to jump. Many people have done so on this bridge. I often wonder what made them lose all hope. There's always hope in life, so why can't they get past the hurdle?"

Wesley surveyed the young man from head to toe. "You must still be very young."

"I'm nineteen."

"Nineteen." Wesley nodded with a smile. "What a high-spirited lad you are! You still have a long way to go in life. It's great that you can face it all with optimism. But people who have jumped down from here couldn't get past what they were facing, and it's not something we can blame them for. Who hasn't suffered? Some people simply can't take it any longer and want to end it all."
