Wesley finally felt relieved after confirming that the number was right.

"Alright, let's keep in contact."

Whether Yerick was his son or not, he genuinely liked that boy. Whatever it was, Yerick was Janet's son.

He had also let Janet down. He didn't expect her to have passed away such a long time ago, and wondered where her body was buried.

Wesley wanted to visit her, but didn't dare to ask Yerick about it directly. This was their first time meeting, after all. It sounded strange for him to ask where his mother was buried.

Yerick bade him goodbye, looking every bit the polite and bright young man he was.

"Goodbye," Wesley said as he waved his hand and saw Yerick off.

After Yerick walked off, Wesley let out a long sigh.

He glanced at the strand of hair tightly tucked in between two fingers and got into the car. He wrapped it in a piece of tissue and put it aside carefully, fearing that he might lose it. Then, he made a call to a doctor he knew.

"Dr. Zabel, I need a favor from you. I need to do a paternity test."

Rosalie went to fetch Steve home.

When they reached home, Rosalie held Steve in her arms for a long time. The thought of Wesley and Sydney's relationship upset her.

It also made her think of her relationship with Theodore.

"Stevie, after you grow up, don't walk in your grandfather and father's footsteps. If you love a woman, love her well, and don't be fickle. Don't get married and then think…"

Rosalie sighed.

"Forget it. I'll tell you about this after you grow up. No matter what, don't ever disappoint people who genuinely love you, and don't ever hurt those who love you."
