When it was past three in the afternoon and the weather wasn't so hot, Sebastian brought Rosalie out for a stroll.

Although Veloso's industry and economy were underdeveloped, the natural scenery wasn't bad.

Sebastian brought Rosalie to many places.

Throughout the entire time, she didn't say much, simply letting him hold her hand.

When they stood at the seaside, Sebastian hugged her from behind and kissed her neck, whispering sweet nothings into her ear.

He also brought her to a sea of flowers. He hugged her as they lay on the flower bed, making her kiss him.

Sebastian was enjoying every moment of it.

At night, he booked the most luxurious restaurant to have dinner with Rosalie. The two of them sat by the window.

Throughout the meal, Rosalie hardly responded to him. Eventually, Sebastian put down his fork and said, "Rose, don't be so grouchy. Give me a smile, won't you?"

He was as patient as he could with her. However, there was a limit to his patience.

Rosalie looked up at Sebastian and squeezed out a smile. Her smile, however, felt robotic and not genuinely from the bottom of her heart.

Despite that, it was enough to satisfy him.

Although Rosalie couldn't possibly be genuine in her affections toward Sebastian, he believed that with time, he was capable of melting her hardened heart. She would listen to him and truly rely on him.

He was the only one she had in this foreign land, after all.

Throughout the meal, Sebastian shared with Rosalie about this country's cultural development and history. He spoke eloquently, displaying deep knowledge about this country.

If this were any other date, the other party might be attracted by his intellectual charm.

Rosalie, however, merely nodded and smiled intermittently, responding to him robotically.

Sebastian didn't care. He simply did whatever he pleased. He had nothing to care about, not even her feelings.

After dinner, he held her hand and brought her to a cinema.

They caught a movie that was filmed in Veloso, meant for propaganda purposes. Movies filmed abroad were banned from cinemas and even at home.

If anyone were found to be in possession of foreign movies, they were liable to be jailed for at least 20 years and stripped of all political rights for the rest of their lives.
