Chapter 785 Why Escape 

“You… You really didn’t harm Abigail?” Mitchell still found it hard to believe. 

“You’ll understand once you see her yourself.” 

Emrys did not explain any further. 

At that moment, a fierce sound of tearing through the air suddenly echoed from behind. 

“You cowardly cur, you dared to offend me, and yet you think you can just walk away unscathed? Do you really believe the world is such a forgiving place?” 

The one who arrived was an expressionless old man with white hair, but the voice that roared out was filled with anger. It was identical to the earth–shattering roar that Emrys had previously heard at the Wheeler residence. 

Needless to say, this was a puppet of the Demon Wolf. 

Upon seeing the white–haired old man pursuing him, Mitchell was instantly filled with dread. He said, “Sir, help me break these chains on my hands. I’ll hold him off while you escape. Once you’re safe, please take care of Abigail for me.” 

He knew how terrifying this white–haired old man was. His strength was comparable to the late phase of the Golden Elixir Stage. 

Mitchell could only risk his life to stall for him, buying Emrys time to escape. 

He had no other choice at that time, and he could only trust that Emrys would not harm his daughter.

Emrys had already charged toward the white–haired old man.
