In an instant, Nyx’s emotions were indescribably complex. 

She had told him to abandon her and stay away, yet he had stayed by her side all along. 

Even with his memory lost, Felix was still as stubborn as ever, yet soft–hearted. He clearly feared that getting sick would he contagious and possibly fatal, but still, he risked it all to warm her up and lick her fur. 

“Felix. Nyx softly called out. 

Tm here,” Black Mane immediately responded. He insisted on shielding the small female from the wind and rain with his body, never leaving her side. 

“Where’s Theon! Nyx looked around but couldn’t see the golden–haired lion, unsure of where he had gone. 

“He’s gone to find some herbs to cure you,” Black Mane comforted, gently licking her forehead. “Once you eat these herbs, you’ll get better.” 

Those words were meant to comfort Nyx, but also to comfort himself. He was also scared, feeling empty inside, unsure of what would happen. 

Just imagining Nyx dying in front of him made him unbearable. If Nyx could get better, he would gladly bear her sickness himself. 

Around them, various small animals watched the situation while gossiping. 

“She seems like she’s about to die.”

As a carnivore, these herbs tasted awful to Nyx, but she still closed her mouth and swallowed them, not wanting to waste Theon’s efforts.
