Sasha lowered her gaze to her leg. She had already learned to move on three legs–it wasn’t fast or stable, and the couldn’t hunt, but she could stand to eat and go to the river for water without needing Wendy and Amy’s help. 

As for her once–broken fourth leg, she had almost forgotten what it felt like to move it. 

“Don’t put too much pressure on it at once, take it slow Nyx guided her. 

Sasha tried to take a step. Out of habit, she put all her weight on three legs, keeping the fourth curled up, limping awkwardly. 

A wave of disappointed sighs rippled through the crowd. 

Hearing those sighs, Sasha panicked, stumbling forward and nearly falling. 

Nyx swiftly stepped in to support her. She said nothing, nor did she rush her–she simply waited patiently for Sasha to adjust on her own. 

Leaning against Nyx, listening to her steady and strong heartbeat, Sasha gradually calmed down and tentatively placed her injured leg on the ground. 

There was a little discomfort, but it wasn’t nearly as painful as she expected. 

Her leg, unused for so long, was stiff, and walking on four legs was slower at first than on three. But as she kept moving, she picked up speed. 

Under everyone’s watchful eyes, Sasha’s walking speed actually became just like any other lion’s, and her posture returned to normal. She looked no longer limping at all.

She squinted and looked carefully, realizing that the lion fighting with Theon was one she actually recognized. 

“Nyx, I’m Curled Ear. Do you remember me?” asked Curled Ear. It had been a while, and Curled Ear had grown past the awkward juvenile stage, his thick mane fully grown, turning him into a young and handsome lion. 

But right now, he was in a messy situation, desperately trying to avoid Theon’s blows while shouting at Nyx, “Save my brother! Please! He’s dying. Find him some herbs to heal him!”
