Chapter 115
Kaia's POV
The meeting with the Alphas was here, and Allie and I were getting ready with the aid of Dani who was having so much fun playing dress up instead of being the one getting ready. Allie was excited to go and according to her, she was happy because she gets to show off her perfect self in a room full of poorly dressed women.
“Oh my gosh!” Allie squealed, “Kieran won't be able to take his eyes off you.” She said, once Dani was done applying my makeup.
“I don't think that even I, can take my eyes off her." Dani agreed.
I smiled widely and looked into the mirror and this time, I had to agree that she did an amazing job. The makeup was flawless, and I could feel my confidence go through the roof. Since I was going with a red dress, she did a sophisticated, elegant look with neutral eyes but my lip was a bold red color. She put my hair down after curling them.
The dress was a stunning, floor-length red dress that hugged my body tightly in all the right places and I couldn't be happier that I wasn't showing yet. The top part was a sweetheart neck while flowing skirts fell in soft folds to the ground.
“It's perfect." I murmured, not taking my eyes off my reflection as my hand played with the necklace Kieran had given me during one of our dates.
“It sure is." Lylah agreed.
Allie was going with a blue version of a gown similar to mine, but her own didn't have the flowing skirts. But she looked stunning. Ryder was going to have a really hard time keeping his hands to himself.
“That's a him problem." I thought, smiling at how frustrated he was going to be all through the night. I mean, she did say she was no longer mad at him and was considering giving him the chance to prove that he was sincere. I don't think she's going to let him off easily though.
"I think we're good to go.” Allie said, finally taking my attention away from the mirror.
I mind-linked Kieran that I was done and he was knocking on Allie's door a few minutes later. He was wearing a three piece blue suit and he looked like he just walked out of the runway.
“Fuck Bella,” He groaned softly, his eyes filled with desire as he stared at me. "You are perfect!” He said, and I could say the same about him. It was unfair for one person to possess this level of perfection.
He moved closer to me, his hands holding me by my side and drawing me. Everyone else disappeared and it was just the two of us, lost in each other. His touch sent shivers down my spine and I can't believe that this unbelievably handsome hunk of a man was all mine.
Just as I felt him lean in, I closed my eyes but nothing came instead, a loud growl filled my ears and my eyes snapped open to see Kieran glaring at Allie.
“I didn't make the rule,” she said, "no kissing a girl when she's wearing lipstick.”
The way my head jerked towards her, I was afraid I would get a whiplash. “Don't blame me." She said, raising her hand in mock surrender.
Dani was fighting back a laugh while Allie just shrugged and passed beside me ignoring the glare Kieran was giving her. She was the only one who would get away with something like that and she knew it.
We said goodbye to Dani and Caleb as we got into the car. Ryder was driving, so Allie sat in front with him and with the unhealthy amount of times his head moved to look at her, I pray we don't crash.
“It's unfair for you to look like this and I can't kiss you.” Kieran said through our mindlink, his eyes meeting my gaze.
"I don't know about any rule, but you can kiss me all you want.” I replied and a pleased smile appeared on his face.
“I can see the look you're giving each other," Allie said, “you're only making it hard for yours–” She was interrupted by the divider coming between us and Kieran's lips came crashing on mine.
“Rude!" Allie murmured, but we were lost in our own world.
I wasn't sure how long we drove for, but we finally arrived. The anxious feeling I felt thinking about how I would walk in front of so many people came back but Kieran assured me that there was nothing to be worried about.
The door opened, and Kieran offered me his hand which I grabbed like I was holding on to my dear life. A lot of people were standing out to greet us…Kieran. And once they saw him, they bowed their heads and didn't rise until we walked past them.
“This is so cool!" Allie squealed through our mindlink and I snorted, only she would think that.
