Of the Internet stories I have ever read, perhaps the most impressive one is Claimed By The Lycan King (Kaia). The story is too good, leaving me with many doubts. Currently, the manga has been translated to Shadows of the past. Let's read the author's Claimed By The Lycan King (Kaia) Internet story right here.
Chapter 17
Kaia's POV
“Get your hands off my mate!" Lylah growled, coming to the surface.
Both Kieran and the woman froze before turning to me. The girl couldn't be any older than I am, with a slender build and blonde hair which framed her heart shaped face.
Her eyes widened in surprise, and she took a step back, releasing Kieran from her hug. “It's not what you think, Luna." she said, her voice filled with genuine apology.
Kieran's expression turned sheepish, and he rubbed the back of his neck. "Allie just arrived, she wanted to see you.” he explained, his eyes locked on mine.
That didn't make any sense, so I waited for him to tell me who this ‘Allie’ girl was before I went all crazy on them.
“I'm his sister," she said, and I felt a wave of relief wash over me, followed by a dash of embarrassment at my overreaction. Lylah's growl subsided, replaced by a curious whisper in my mind.
“I'm sorry, my wolf can get out of control sometimes." Kieran chuckled, coming to stand beside me, throwing his hand around my shoulder, collecting one of the glasses from me.
I'm surprised they didn't break from how tight I held them
She just shrugged, a gentle smile playing on her lips. “I would do the same when I find my mate." She said, “I've heard so much about you."
"Uhm…” I trailed off.
The time we spoke about her, was when she told on them to their dad because she was angry at Ryder but I doubt she wants to be reminded of that now.
“You don't have to lie about him. He probably told you an embarrassing story about me.” I blushed shyly at how easily she was able to read me.
Once the introduction was done, the three of us entered Kieran's office. Allie, despite the fact she was high ranked, was also down to earth. She spoke to me as if we've known each other for a long time.
“Now that you've met her, can I have my mate back?" Kieran asked.
Allie shook her head, “No." Before continuing her story. "Anyways, he got lucky and now I don't have to listen to him whine about finding his mate.”
"I wouldn't exactly call it whining.” He murmured, just as the door opened, revealing Dani and Caleb. The door creaked open, and the sound of their laughter carried in from the hallway.
Dani's eyes widened when she saw Allie, “how come you didn't say you were coming? When did you come here?" Dani asked.
“Ryder is in the kitchen…just so you know where to go.” Caleb chimed in, a hint of teasing in his voice.
Her face turned a bright shade of red, "I don't know why you're telling me that.” She said, and Caleb just laughed and sat across from us, with Dani sitting in between his legs, resting her back on his body.
For that moment, the five of us…four of them recounted their childhood tales while I listened.
Kieran was right, I liked Allie. And even though she thought was trying to hide it, she still has a crush on Ryder. She kept looking at the door and with each passing moment that he didn't open the door, a look of disappointment flashed through her eyes.
“Why don't we leave both of you to catch up with work while we give Luna a tour of the pack house.” Dani suggested, Allie nodding her head in agreement.
A frown crossed Kieran's features, "I'm going to do that.” He said, his voice low but there was a hint of insistence.
"Yes, Alpha. We'll do something else then."
He looked at me, as if to ask me if I wanted to go and I nodded, ignoring Lylah's protest to remain in his arms. One last kiss on his forehead that earned me a pleased smile, I followed the girls out of the office, still feeling his eyes on me as I left.
