Chapter 38

Kaia's pov

I was grinning from ear to ear, I couldn't wait to go on a date with him.

“Did he tell you where he's taking you too?" Dani asked, putting finishing touches on my makeup. She was eager to help me with my makeup when I told her about my date with Kieran.

I shrugged, “he just said I should get ready."

“And that is very helpful." She snorted. She got started on curling my hair. It was already six thirty which means I had thirty minutes left to get ready.

Once she was done with my hair, she let it fall on my shoulders. Then she picked out a few dress options from my closet. She crossed out jeans and shorts, so I was left with gowns.

We settled on a red gown that stopped mid thigh. It hugged every part of my body. Even without seeing my reflection, I still felt good.

“And we're done!" Dani announced, beaming widely as she turned the mirror to face me.

“I look good!" I thought, taking in my features. It was hard to remain self conscious when she used every given chance to compliment me

A knock on the door snapped me out of my daydream. "Ooh…the Alpha's punctual!" Dani sang.

“Bella…you look…beautiful!" Kieran, who looked like he just stepped out of a runway, said. A smile spread across my face.

“You too." I murmured.

“He looks ravishing!" Lylah purrs.

"I was going for handsome, but I'll take that.” Kieran said, offering me his arm.

I said thank you to Dani, as Kieran led me to the car. He opened the door for me before going to the driver's side. And in no time, we were at a restaurant.

Anticipation welled up inside me as I couldn't wait to see what he had planned.

Everywhere was decorated with candles, and rose flowers. Since it was already dark, it gave it a more romantic feel.

It was mostly empty and I didn't hide my confusion.

"I wanted it to be just us. And you won't be uncomfortable.” he said, answering my unasked question.

I smiled at his thoughtfulness, as I wrapped my arms around him. “Thank you."

He hummed before leading me to the table closest to the glass window, which has a good view of the waterfall. Then he pulled out a chair for me before settling down too.

As soon as we were seated, soft background music started to play. I knew that by the end of the night, my cheeks were going to hurt from how much I was smiling.

The waiter brought two glasses of water alongside a menu. Then he left so we could decide what we wanted. My eyes darted through the menu, everything sounded so good.

"Do you know what you want yet?" Kieran asked and I shook my head. There were so many dishes to choose from, I didn't know which I should pick from.

"I don't know which to pick. They all seem so good," I replied, and he smiled.

"How about we get the special menu. I doubt we'll be able to finish all the dishes, but at least you can have a taste of them all. What do you think?" He asked, and I nodded happily.
