Chapter 45
Kieran's Pov
A smile crossed my features when I ended the mindlink with Kaia. I heard part of her protest and it was cute. If I was going to suffer, she must go through the same thing.
“How's the Luna doing?" Ryder asked, coming close to where I stood.
I frowned, “Why are you here?"
He shrugged, “you have a weird smile on your face, and what better way to find out what the reason is and win a bet." He replied nonchalantly.
“A bet?" I repeated.
“Those kids never learn to not bet against me. Or how do you think I got out of patrol last week?” He asked and my frown deepened. “I'll just leave." He grumbled, going back in the same direction he came from.
I shook my head as I got back to training. A lot of the teens got their wolves the previous day and it was necessary to teach them how to control it, especially with transforming.
Having woken up early to start, we finished in no time and I was back in the room to take a quick shower. Kaia's smell lingered in the room, it hasn't been long since she left.
I also made my way out when Caleb mind-linked me about reports that needed urgent attention.
My head was all up in the report when I heard the door creak open. I assumed it was Caleb, but the smell suggested otherwise, so I raised my head and Laura stood in front of me.
“Is there something you want?"
King hated her, even her smell sent him retreating to the back of my head.
She was my mother's guest, and as long as she doesn't go close to Kaia, then we wouldn't have a problem.
“You know, everyone thinks we're a good match…” she started, walking towards me slowly.
"Good for them. Now get out of my office.” I commanded.
She moved to touch me, but her hand froze in the air when I glared at her. Her composure faltered, but she wasn't giving up.
And in the blink of an eye, the jacket she had on her dropped to the ground revealing the strapless gown she had on.
“You like what you see, right? I'm so perfect for you Kieran, what do you see in that weak mate of yours? She certainly can't give you what I can give you, I mean I am a virgin and untouched and from what I heard she wasn't one when you found her, let me satisfy you, Alpha, I pro–” Before I could react, the door opened and this time, Kaia entered.
She froze, her eyes locked in on Laura's position.
I groaned, letting out a string of curse words. I saw the hurt on her face, if she doesn't hate me now, I was lucky. I threw a glare at Laura.
“Alpha Kieran, you shouldn't waste your time on her, I can give you everything she can't give you, and I mean everything!” Laura walked up to me and tried to hold me from behind and in a fit of anger
“You will not speak about my mate like that!"
“But Alpha, I was trained just to be your Luna, you can not discard me just like this.” She was deluded. I never intended to have any other work that wasn't Kaia.
“I will not repeat myself, get out!”
"Go after mate.” King growled.
Laura stood there stubbornly, crossing her hand in front of her.
Using my Alpha tone, I commanded her to leave and then I mind-linked some warriors to come take her away once she was outside.
“I don't want to see her anywhere in this pack.” I told them and they nodded as a shocked look spread across her face.
“You can not do this to me, Alpha Kieran.” She screamed as the warriors dragged her away.
